Grace Goodwin-Viken Command

Back into space we go with Grace and her Interstellar Bride Program with Viken Command. Today, instead of going to a Battlegroup, we are going to the planet Viken, where good things come in threes.

The planet Viken is separated off into 3 sectors, and after the triplet kings, who were each brought up in a different sector, got together with their mate, the trend has been for each mating to involve a male from each sector to one female. And it’s this world which Whitney has been matched to, and is looking forward to going to.

We meet Whitney right as her bride testing has finished up. She gets a little salty with Warden Egara because she really wanted to have an orgasm and she didn’t get it. I’d be salty too, you know? Whitney also askes Egara a lot of questions, which she answers. I’m glad Whitney did ask, because I’ve been curious about some of those questions. Anyway, Whitney volunteered for the IBP because her family pulled a huge Ponzi scheme. She wasn’t involved in it and she worked really hard to avoid all the drama, but that doesn’t mean she wasn’t painted with the same brush. She got dragged in by the cops and questioned, and no one really trusted her anymore. So, she’s going to get the fuck off Earth, and she’s not into fighting, so being a bride and meeting her perfect match sounds like the way to go to her. So, off to Warden Egara and the testing center she goes, has one super hot dream, and then gets sent to Viken.

Alarr, her matched mate, and his partners Oran and Teig, are currently on Viken. Not just on Viken, but at a fancy resort where newly mated people go, working as guards. It sounds like it would be perfect, and it kind of is, but that’s not their real job. Their real job is working for Intelligence for the Coalition fleet. Someone is stealing and selling Coalition weapons, and it’s been tracked to this resort. So, the guys go, because they are Viken. But then, Alarr gets matched and his bride is on his way. When he tries to tell Helion, his commander, Helion tells him that he has to stay at the job, no matter what, and having a new mate coming in will just be even better cover. Yeah.

I’m going to just say how much I hate Helion. I’ve never really liked him at all, and the more we see him, the less I like him. I just want Prime Niall to pound him into the ground with a huge ass hammer. I wonder if Grace would do that for me. I would be so thrilled.

Anyway, I felt sorry for Whitney. She wanted to have someone to love her and make her the most important person in their life, and sometimes it looks like the boys are going to do it and sometimes it doesn’t. It keeps her a little off balance, and considering that she’s already off balance just by being on a new world and after everything that’s happened, she doesn’t need anything else to cause her to have problems.

I like the guys. They are all honorable guys, who are just pulled in 2 directions. Both the job and Whitney are important, and they are kind of put in a bad place so that they have to choose the way they do, even if they don’t want to choose that. (I hate Helion. It bears repeating.) They aren’t walking an easy path.

I am looking forward to finding out more about Zeus, the half human/half Prillon warrior who is the head of the new Battlegroup. I bet there is a helluva story there.

OK, that’s all for today! Go check it out! Happy reading!
