Cari Silverwood-His Keepsake

Cari is back with a very edgy book. His Keepsake is all about consensual non-consent. Now, Cari’s books often walk the edge, but this one comes up to the line, jumps up and down over it, delicately crosses it, and then turns around to snort it. There are times when this book could be upsetting for people who have issues with nonconsensual sex scenes, so do be aware of it.

We start with Emme, who is kinky AF, but for whom most D/s and kink just doesn’t work. She is really into CNC, with it leaning a little more into the NC aspect than the C aspect. She wants to feel forced, to have that decision taken from her, and to have her power taken from her. So, she talks to her friend Charity and arranges for a Dom that Charity knows to abduct her for the week. Emme doesn’t know who the man is, but they have been texting back and forth so that they can set things up, including a code word he is supposed to give her when he first grabs her, so that she knows it’s him. The book opens on the night it’s supposed to happen. Charity and Emme are talking about it in a restaurant, but they don’t realize that Mr. Scott is behind them, listening to every word out of their mouth.

You see, Mr. Scott and Emme have something in common. They are both kinky AF and they both like CNC, with the emphasis on nonconsensual. He decided that he was going to follow Emme, just to make sure that some weirdo doesn’t grab her. Not because he’s interested in her, because no, that would be illegal. And if you believe that, I have a bridge to sell you in the Atacama Desert.

So, Mr. Scott decides that he’s going to grab Emme. She doesn’t know if it’s the guy who is supposed to grab her or not. He tells her he isn’t, but the mindfuck is part of what Emme wants, so surely he’s just playing into that, and he’s the guy Charity arranged. At least, that’s what Emme keeps telling herself. She’s not 100% sure that she believes it though. She really wants to, because that means that she’s going to be safe, but she just can’t be sure. And if she isn’t safe, that means that this is real and not some kind of super edgy role play.

I love that good mindfuck. A good mindfuck always makes for a good read for me. It is edgy, it is dark, and while we might know what is happening because Cari is telling us, it’s easy to put ourselves into Emme’s head and see everything through her eyes and see why she feels the way that she feels. I love her struggle to understand and to try and make things fit with the facts that she may or may not have.

There are places in this book that really skirt the edges and are very twisted. I’m not kinkshaming our characters or anyone, since CNC fantasies are really prevalent, especially among women, but there are a couple of places where it feels less fantasy and more real, if you can get the difference.

This was a really great story, and there really is a lot in there to dig into. Sadly for you, I won’t go any further into any of it because I don’t want to ruin anything. And I’ve already deleted a couple of paragraphs because I think they went a little close to the line. But, if you want a kinky good time, then go check this one out. Happy reading!

Cari Silverwood-Isak and Red

Cari is back to her Mesmer world, and she hasn’t missed a step when it comes to that world. Isak and Red is dark, twisted, kinky af, and pretty much everything I really wanted to have. While there are several Mesmer books, this one is a direct sequel to Used.

For those who don’t remember what the Mesmers are or who aren’t familiar with the world, here’s a quick catch up. The Mesmers are always men. They have a thing in their brain that lets them control women. And I mean, completely control women. They can also wipe the memories of women. And, predictably, they are all pretty much fucked up AF. Some of the stuff these guys do is dark, disturbing, twisted, and kinky.

In this book, we have Isak and Red. He’s the Mesmer, and she’s the woman that he’s fascinated with and has controlled for years now. He’s done all kinds of things to her and to other women over the years, and now, he’s trying to figure out what to do next. He’s actually, if you can believe it, a little bored. He’s really done everything possible, twice. But then, some bad guys show up, and they want to figure out how Isak does what he does, and they have no problems hurting him or Red to find out how.

Isak and Red manage to get away, and Isak wants to try something new. He wants Red to teach him how to be human again. Which, you know, is an interesting choice. The thing is, he’s telling Red that he wants to be more human, but he’s telling himself that he doesn’t.

Oh man, there are so many things I want to say about this, because I am left with so many questions and thoughts after having read it, but if I talk about the things that I want to, then I’m going to spoil every damn thing. And I do mean every.damn.thing.

So, let’s just say that these guys are living in my head, and I have woken up a couple of times in the night wondering about the ending since I read it. I wonder how much anyone knows about what has happened or what their life is like now. It is definitely one of those stories that is going to live in my head for a while, and I will probably randomly wonder about my questions for years.

I would love to see more about Isak and Red, but I think that we are probably done with their story. I don’t know that Cari could do anything more with them, really, not without completely messing up who they are now, and I’m not entirely sure that I want them to be messed up, you know?

OK, nothing under the picture. Go check it out! Happy reading!

Cari Silverwood-Sacrificed to the Sea

So, when you go look at Sacrificed to the Sea on the mighty Amazon, you will see that it has a big orange banner for bestseller in number theory. That’s because, for some odd reason, the PTB at Zon have decided to put the book in Math. There is a warning on the blurb that guarantees this isn’t a math book, that it’s a romance. I think that’s a trip. This is a very Cari book. When I finished reading it, I just sat and stared at my kindle for quite a while. The whole book was a total WTF moment, and I totally WTFed over it.

We start with Rafaella. She is on a ship sometime hundreds of years ago, whoring herself out to the sailors in exchange for passage. Right up until there is a hurricane, then she’s bad luck, and she’s tied up and sacrificed to try to appease the sea. Instead of dying, she ends up becoming a mermaid. On top of that, Rafaella periodically has to go kill and devour a man.

Many years after her transformation, Rafaella takes Wolfgang’s lover and fucks and eats him. Of all the men she’s ever devoured, he may be the one that she actually regrets.

So, Wolfgang is a marine scientist who thinks he’s figured out the secret behind Rafaella. He comes and sits on the beach each night talking to her. Then he manages to catch her. Then, being a Cari Silverwood book, he decides to do horrible, terrible, sexy, dirty, wonderful things to her.

I don’t know whether I love to hate Wolfie or hate to love him. I do know that I’m fascinated by him. There’s just something about him that’s both hard and vulnerable. That’s a really tough line to have to walk, I think. I mean, he knows what he wants, he wants his revenge on Rafaella, and he’s very angry, rightfully so, but when he gets her, he’s pulled in and there are times that he gets really wrapped up in what he’s doing, and it seems like he loses his way and desire for revenge sometimes. He thinks of himself as a monster, and with some of the things that he does to Rafaella, yeah, I can see how he could think that.

With Rafaella, it’s different. I both like her and maybe kinda hate her. I understand why she is the way that she is. Frankly, I would probably be the same if I went through what she did. Especially since she really spent a lot of time completely alone in the sea. It’s easy to lose yourself, and she did. The reason that I kinda hate her is that she has completely lost herself too. I know, that doesn’t make any sense to anyone, but it makes sense to me. I think that she has some really hidden depths and there are things about her that she doesn’t know, and she doesn’t figure them out on her own.

I feel like this book really just scratched the surface of these characters, and I love that. It gives me a lot of room to decide how I feel about everything, and gave me room to imagine what comes next. While I wouldn’t mind another book with these characters, I am perfectly happy without one. Of course, that doesn’t mean that I wouldn’t line up to read one if Cari wrote it.

OK, no spoilers on this one, because, well, you really don’t want any. Go check it out! Happy reading!

Cari Silverwood-The Princess Tied

Cari has written a funny, sexy, and amusing book with The Princess Tied, and I am so here for it! It is a takeoff on The Princess Bride, and it is definitely a kissing book, as well as a fucking book.

(Note, this was supposed to be written on Friday, but I was having issues with allergies that left my eyes really blurry, which made typing interesting.) (Thank goodness for Benedryl.)(Makes me really sleepy though.)

We start with John clawing his way out of hell. He was sent there by The Storyteller, who also took his brother Xander, who happens to be betrothed to Princess Pollianna, AKA Po, who is the ruler of the kingdom of Bitzocoin. He wants to go after the princess, because she’s doing absolutely nothing to find his brother. He’s going to do everything he can to get his brother back, including kidnapping the Princess and forcing her to help him find Xander.

Po is worried about Xander, but he made her vow to him that she wouldn’t go looking for him if something happened to him, so she hasn’t been doing much. And of course, John is pissy about that, and I don’t blame him. So, he sneaks into her bedroom and kidnaps her. Or, rather, tries to kidnap her, but he needs her help to do it.

Meanwhile, Xander has been drugged by the Storyteller. He gets drugged daily, after a conversation with the Storyteller.

Po is really smart, at least book smart, but I think that she is less smart when it comes to people. I don’t really think that’s her fault though, as she is a Princess, and she’s never really had to be all that people smart. She has to be ruler smart, which I think is pretty good thing for her in general, but not what most people would need to have. She does a really good job for her kingdom, including wheeling and dealing on the stock market, making loads of money and boosting the economy.

I like John. I think that he is not nearly as bad as he thinks he is. I mean, he does have an evil streak, but he keeps that under control. I also think he ends up caring for people more than he thought that he could. I have a feeling that the only person he really cared for or cared about was Xander.

Ruth, Shades, and Ruff are just a lot of fun to have around, and I think that without them, the book wouldn’t have moved as well. I pretty much just adore Ruff, because who wouldn’t.

angora-rabbit

I love the casket.

OK, that’s all I have to say today! Go check it out! Happy reading!

Cari Silverwood-Clockwork Stalker

Cari has joined the Dirty Heroes collection. This collection is made up of retellings of various stories and fairy tales. Cari took on Sherlock Holmes and gave him her particular touch in Clockwork Stalker. My husband and I really love Sherlock Holmes, so I was excited about this. In fact, while I was reading this, my husband started binging Jeremy Brett’s Sherlock Holmes series. I told him that I was reading a kinky reimagining of S.H. He asked how many times Holmes fucked Watson. LOL. My husband knows me. But nope, no Holmes and Watson fucking. Just lots of fucking. With the word clockwork in the title, it’s a pretty good tipoff that it’s got steampunk aspects, which it does. It also has some Lovecraftian/horror/paranormal kind of stuff going on, which shows up more than you might realize in steampunk stuff.

So, we start out on an airship on its way from France to England. Holmes and Watson are on the ship so that they can find a stolen wife. They are pretty sure that she is on the ship, so they are going to find her. Except that’s not what they find. What they find, or rather, what Holmes finds. He finds a nubile redhead and discovers that her name is Wilhelmina Moriarity. He knows that she’s involved in the missing woman case he’s working on, and so he leaves his card with a note, and leaves. He wakes up with no idea where he is or what has happened, but he has left himself a note that says many things, including forget about Watson and resist.

Wilhelmina Moriarity is the infamous Moriarty’s niece, but she’s not been involved in his crime syndicate. She’s been living in Russia, India, or France, with her late husband or her father. But now that her dad is dead, she’s off to London, because she should have a lot of money in the Bank of England, and she has a machine that she wants to enter in the World’s Fair. It measures a very particular kind of energy, she calls it malignant energy. Only she gets to the bank and finds out that her inheritance has been stolen, which leads to her being stuck in a shitty boarding house, then she gets a note from Sherlock Holmes, which she ignores.

OK, so Sherlock is a huge asshole a lot of the time, but that’s pretty much canon for him. If you look at every single story, movie, show, whatever, from the originals on out, he’s a conceited, know it all jackass. But everyone lets him get away with it, because he really is just that good. (And frankly? I’m not surprised that Doyle did really hate Holmes at one point.) But, Cari being Cari, she takes that assholeishness even further. Her Sherlock has been infected with this malignant energy stuff, and it has done… things to him. All the things. All the kinky, fucked up, debauched, depraved, super sexy things that he can think of. Holmes really isn’t all that into sex, if he feels the need to have it, he goes and finds a prostitute and gets his swerve on. So, wanting to tie a string around Wilhelmina’s nipples and hammer the string into the floor is a whole new thought for him.

Holmes really does go through a long journey in this story, and I like that for him. I like him much better at the end of the book. He really needed the journey, and I think that he’ll be a better detective for it.

Then we have Wilhelmina. She isn’t strictly an innocent, she has been married before, and is relatively aware of how the world works and things work in between and women, but everything that Sherlock wants is totally new to her. She kind of hates to love it and loves to hate it. She’s an extremely smart woman, and very interested in science. I think that leaves her with some blind spots. I think that she doesn’t expect things to be as chaotic as they are in real life. She wants to have a nice, ordered life and do her studies, but then things change. She has a journey to go through too, but I don’t think that her journey is near as transformative as Homes’ is. I think that her sense of self isn’t as set in granite as Holmes’ is, and changes aren’t as much a threat to her as they are to Holmes. I like that she acts as a catalyst to several things. I think that she’s just an awesome character.

Watson isn’t in this story much, but I really didn’t like him all that much anyway, so no huge loss.

western-style-2312246_1920

I thought it was interesting to find out the name of the person that Holmes and Wilhelmina saw at the club.

OK, that’s all for this one. Go check it out! Happy reading!

Cari Silverwood-Cyn

Cari has finally released the last book in her Beast Horde series with Cyn. I was totally ready for this book, and I’m not sad for the wait, not like it was a horribly long wait. But this was definitely worth every single second that I had to wait for the ARC.

Now, before I get started, I want to remind people that there are likely to be spoilers in this review for the first two books because of the way that Cari wrote them. So, if you’ve been waiting for Cyn to come out before you read the rest of the books, this is the time to do it, but wait until you read them before you go on with this. If you get spoiled after this, well, I warned you.

So, when we left our intrepid trio, Willow was gone and we learned more about where the beasters came from. The original beasters got dwarf, fae, or gargoyle DNA mixed into their system. The Maelstrom beasters, like Cyn, come from trolls and demons. Can you guess what kind of DNA that Cyn got? If you guessed demon, you get a flaming ovation. It’s like a standing ovation, but with flaming hands instead. Cyn, Rutger, Vargr, and their remaining beaster party decide that they need to go talk to the War tribe, because well, their name speaks for itself, doesn’t it? This is when we start to find out exactly how awesome Big Daddy is, and it really is.

Meanwhile, we have the Ghoul Lord Avidex who is up to no good at all, and who is doing nasty things. He’s also plotting and planning, and making interesting decisions. And maybe, just maybe, some things that he didn’t see happening may happen. It’s just one of those things that we have to watch and see.

So, Cyn has always been a fascinating and badass character. I mean, look at some of the things that she’s done in the last two books. She’s just gone out and fought and killed as necessary. There’s also the fact that she really doesn’t know much about herself before waking up and being the only person to come back from the GL. I, personally, have theories about who she was before she was changed with the nanites, but Cari didn’t ask me. I think that her explanation of Cyn’s history works, it’s just not my personal theory, but it’s her world, so it’s her canon, so…

Anyway, yeah, Cyn has been badass and fascinating, but I have to admit there were times that she was a little scary in this one. I’m pretty sure that I’m not the only one who thinks that too. I know that Vargr does at times. I’m not sure about Rutger though. He keeps his counsel a little more and I’ve always had a harder time reading him and his feelings.

The thing about Cyn being a bit scary in this one is that she doesn’t even mean to be. She has reasons to do what she did, and they are very logical reasons. They make sense in the context of what happens. That doesn’t make her any less scary. Not in the least.

And before I go, I want to give a huge shout out to Little Mo. He’s the Samwise Gamgee of this world, and the series would be lesser without his character in it.

apocalypse-1325398_1920

Oh, Little Mo, how I love you.

OK, that’s all I have to say about this one. Go check it out! Happy reading!

Cari Silverwood-Rutger

Cari is back with the second book in her Beast Horde book. And you remember how I’ve talked about her obsession with giant cocks with extras? Yeah, Rutger is nice and dirty, with a giant cock with extras. This one picks up basically where Vargr left off, so there are likely to be some spoilers in there. You know that I try to keep them to a minimum, but it happens. So, if you don’t want any spoilers, stop reading now, go read the book, and then come back. I’ll still be here.

So, anyway, we’re back with Cyn, and she’s basically all alone right now. After the climactic events, most people are staying away from her and she’s about to stand trial. Vargr has walked away from her, even though they are supposed to be bonded. So, she’s feeling pretty not great right now. But, as she gets taken out to trial, Rutger is there, and he is obviously standing on her side.

Eventually, it’s decided that they are going to go out and find Big Daddy, and see what they can learn. Vargr is still avoiding her, but Rutger has taken over and is helping keep her sane from the Lure, and well, fucking her sideways. And doing it right smack dab in front of Vargr, rubbing it into him that he walked away from Cyn. So, OK, Vargr may have some justification for walking away from her, maybe, but I’m still going to be mad at him for doing it.

I like Rutger a lot more than I like Vargr. I’m not saying that I don’t like Vargr, because I do, but I think that he’s… I dunno, more idealistic maybe? I don’t think that’s the right word, but that may be close. He doesn’t just seem as practical as Rutger does. That’s part of why I like Rutger. He really is very practical. He sees and understands things that I don’t think that Vargr does, and I think that he understands Cyn and what she wants and needs a lot more than Vargr does.

Vargr does have some big changes happening in this one, and I am looking to see how those changes are going to affect things to come in the next book.

We also get to meet some lovely new characters, who I really like. We have Neo, Lennox, and Vincent. I think that they may be more closely related to Cyn than they are to other beasters like Willow, Vargr, and Rutger.

As always, with any Cari book, there is a great adventure story along with all the epic dirty fucking and cocks with bonuses. I ways know that I am going to get something hot to read as well as a fantastic story that I am going to enjoy when I pull out one of Cari’s books. There is also a nice dose of humor that shows up in these books.

tunnel-690513_1920

I really want to know what Vincent, Neo, and Lennox have to do with Maelstrom. I also can’t wait to see what the GL are doing.

OK, that’s all I have to say about this one. Go check it out! Happy reading!

Cari Silverwood-Vargr

The Queen of Post-Apocalyptic Porn and Empress of Crazy Giant Cocks is back with a new book full of all the crazy giant cocks and post-apocalyptic porn you could possibly want. Cari’s new book Vargr is the first book in a new series, and I can’t wait until book 2.

The world has been taken over by aliens called the Ghoul Lords. They like humans. More specifically, they like to eat humans, and not, you know, in the fun way. They have taken over the top of the world, living on the tops of all the skyscrapers. They also have something called the Lure, which sucks humans in draws them up to the Top, where the GL can suck them in. The Lure works best in the light, but in the dark, humans are safer. Not safe, but safer.  What humans are left are kept chained up or are bond-mated to beasters.

Beasters are humans who were altered with nanites to be the human’s weapon against the GL. There are different kinds of beasters. There are some winged men, like Vargr, some who are techies, who can see what kind of nanites are in a person’s blood, some who are weaponsmiths, well, you get the idea. They all live in various tribes, named after the areas they live in. Vargr is a Mercantor. There is also a tribe called the Worshippers because they are based in a quarter that has a lot of churches and temples.

So, here’s our story. Cyn slowly woke up at the Top of a scraper, at the mercy of a Ghoul Lord. She manages to somehow escape, and oh yeah, take part of the GL with her. Then she ends up falling off the top of the skyscraper. She catches herself part of the way down, but ends up slipping off again. Luckily, there is a hot like burning man with wings who happens to see her and rescues her.

Vargr isn’t quite sure that is going on with her, because no one has ever escaped from the Top, and if Cyn managed to, then maybe she is an agent of the Ghoul Lords. Or maybe not. Maybe she’s just a plain vanilla human, but it doesn’t seem like she is. At first, she doesn’t seem to be affected by the Lure, but then it seems like she is affected by it. So, the only option he has is to chain her up, and fuck her. But Cyn isn’t going to make that easy at all, even if she does want it.

There is a whole buttload of struggle fucking in here. It is fucking hot too. I love the way that Cyn forces Vargr to prove that he’s dominant over her and how she provokes him so that she can get what she wants.

I love how Cyn’s personality seems to go from nice and calm to I like to lick guns and violence is good. I really like both sides of her personality. I think that she is pretty much chaos incarnate and that everyone should watch out when it comes to her. I can’t wait to find out more about her.

Vargr, now him, I have other feelings about. I’m not sure that I like him that much. I’m not sure that I dislike him that much either. I do know that I am disappointed in him right now. I think he’s going to be one of those characters where how I feel about him changes from sentence to sentence.

There is a lot of humor going on in this book, which is always nice. I enjoy being able to laugh when I’m reading post-apocalyptic porn. There are also oddly placed tattoos, which make me wonder how they felt going on. And of course, being a Cari book, there are giant cocks with additions, like knobs and spikes that extend when the guy orgasms.

I am dying for the next book, because there is going to be so much more to learn.

armageddon-2546045_1920

I like Rutger. I think that he has Cyn’s back more than Vargr does right now, but I don’t know how much that currently is.

I understand why Vargr is upset right now, but I think that he is in the wrong about stuff right now. I dunno.

OK, that’s all for this one. Go check it out! Happy reading!

Cari Silverwood & Jennifer Bene-Mesmer

Cari and Jennifer are two of my favorite writers ever, and they have teamed up to write a very dark, downright dirty, and devilishly disturbing book called Mesmer. This book takes place in Cari’s mesmer-verse, but it can totally be read as a standalone, if you aren’t familiar with the universe.

So, here’s the story. Mesmers are men who have an extra power. They can collect women. In other words, with certain women, they can completely take control of the woman. They can make her feel lust and pleasure, or they can, you know, not. But, if that was all the mesmers wanted, it wouldn’t be so bad. What they really like to do is depraved shit, and shit that will hurt women. They like pain. They like to cause it. It’s like it feeds them.

Tomik is a mesmer. He has a life he likes. He collects women, he does terrible things to them, he disposes of them. He has a brotherhood that he hangs out with, and they all do all kinds of fucked up things.

Then, there’s Hannah. Hannah and Tomik were friends and very close as teenagers. But then, Tomik just left, and Hannah doesn’t know why. But she does know that she missed him, and when she had trouble, she did the only thing she could think of. She called Tomik for help. The problem is, she doesn’t know what Tomik is.

Tomik is really layered. I can’t tell you if I like him, hate him, hate to like him, like to hate him, want him to die by fire, or want to fuck him. Or, you know, all of the above. He starts out really kind of flat, but with Cari and Jennifer, you can bet he doesn’t stay that way. It really is fascinating to watch him and watch the changes in him and how he reacts to the world and to Hannah.

Hannah is harder for me to get a grip on. I think, though, that’s because of Tomik. I think I see bits of her popping through, but I’m never sure. It’s really interesting to watch and to find out. I know that I will be thinking about her for a while and trying to figure out who is the real Hannah and who isn’t.

I think that Cari and Jennifer egged each other on, and I’m not going to complain if they did, because that means that we ended up as the winners, because I’m telling you, this book is just totally awesome. It’s one of those that I’m mad that I’ve already read it because I’ll never be able to read it for the first time again, and I really want to.

And I don’t know who came up with the rocking horse, I just know that I will never look at them the same again.

rocking-horse-2906530_1920

Greta is really interesting. I really want to know more about her. Hopefully we can find out more about her at some point.

OK, that’s all for this one. Go check it out! Happy reading!

Cari Silverwood-Condemned

Cari is back with a hot, kinky scifi story. This one is a RH, and we are back with the mauleons, which means more of Cari’s addiction to HUGE cocks. Oh, and by the way, if you read the acknowledgments, don’t believe her. She’s not all sweet and innocent. She can only be egged on if she has the idea to begin with. Anyway, back to Condemned and 4 huge cocks.

Avalon is a huleon. She’s a human/mauleon hybrid. And she’s being blackmailed by her uncle to go steal from the mauleons. Not only is he blackmailing her to steal, but he’s getting her to steal a royal artifact from the mauleons, and one which will probably keep the war going for right now. Everything seems to be going reasonably well, until her teammates throw a flare right at the roof that she is hiding on. It catches the roof on fire and catches the attention of the 4 mauleons who are right under the roof that she’s hiding on. And whoops, that’s not a very good thing to have happen. The next thing that Ava knows is that she’s sentenced to death, and not a very nice one. She’s to be impaled on a spear, paraded through town, and then shot in the head.

Takk, Timin, Zo, and Kondio are a squad that have been together for a long time during this war. They have been through a lot together, and they are good friends as well as teammates. Takk is their leader, and he has led them well. Now, he’s gotten them to place where they have the honor of killing this thief. Only, there’s just something about her. Something that won’t let them participate in her death. So, they decide they are going to steal the thief.

Of course, it’s never as easy as it sounds, because that wouldn’t be so fun, would it? We get to watch while Avalon plots and schemes, trying to figure out how to get away. She almost does a time or two. And I’m sure we can all guess exactly how well that went over for her, can’t we?

I like Avalon. I also feel sorry for her. She’s been abandoned by everyone who should’ve ever taken care of her. And because she’s a hybrid, she gets shit on all sides. Too mauleon for the humans, too human for the mauleons, and just ignored and mistreated by everyone around. I don’t think anyone has ever just taken care of her or try to help her. Instead, she gets jerkoffs like her uncle who force her and blackmail her into doing things. Or people who beat her so that she will become the best thief possible. She does have Nibbles, but she hasn’t had him long. And Nibbles is so very, very, very cute.

I think of Takk, Zo, Kondio, and Timin, I like Zo and Kondio the most. Of course, that may be because they warm up to Avalon first. But Zo really takes care of her and worries about her. Of course, he spanks her too, but hey, that’s all part of the taking care of her too, so it works out well. Timin took a while to warm up, but I wonder how much of that is just trying to get through all the bullshit from the war and the residuals from his injury. I think that one of my favorite non-sex scenes is when Avalon is taking care of Timin. He doesn’t really want her to, but she’s there just caring for him.

Takk took me a minute to figure out how I felt about him. I could tell that he was an honorable male and one who was just trying to do the best for his friends, but I think that he sometimes saw things in a much more black and white way than it needed to be seen. I dunno, maybe it’s just me.

Watch for Easter Eggs that Cari has planted, because she does that.
