Renee and Lee are back to those bad boy biking werewolves of Arizona. This time, we’re back with Titus and Sunny. We’ve seen them before. In fact, their kids are mated, so we’ve definitely seen them before.
Here’s how the story goes. Titus has been sent to New Mexico to find a friend of his who is a lone wolf. He’s hoping for more information about the labs where all the experimentation on the shifters has been going on. This friend of his lives way off grid and he might know about the goings on and if there are any labs in the area. So, he pulls into town and finds out that he’s in a little open air market kind of thing. And who should he see but Sunny. They had a thing for a couple of days a couple of years ago, but she left without telling him. Of course, she had her reasons. He’s kind of hung up on the fact that his ex was a bitch (literally, hahahahaha) and left him high and dry. So he doesn’t want a relationship, and Sunny senses that about him.
Sunny is a free spirit. She creates art, she teaches sunset yoga on top of a restaurant, she is just free and happy and shares of herself. She travels through the country selling her art, but she’s currently based in Taos. And it suits her well. She also sees auras, and she sees Titus’ inner wolf. Of course, she thinks it’s a spirit animal, and not, you know, a werewolf, but she still sees it. I personally think that she is psychic, so that works well. When she sees Titus, she’s more than happy to see him and maybe get some more hot lovin’ from him. Which, yeah, does happen. But he still has issues.
There are a lot of things I like about this book, but one of them is that we have an older couple. Don’t get me wrong, I love reading about hot 20-somethings getting their freak on, but as a 47 year old woman, it’s nice to see the heroine near my age. And not just a heroine near my age, but one that is having an epic and passionate love affair. That gave my heart a little happy.
Titus is a good man, but I think that he’s very stuck in the past. Yeah, his ex screwed him but good, but that was a long time ago and he needed to put his big werewolf panties on and deal with it. He also has a lot of issues with duty and what he thinks he should do vs what is the right thing to do.
I love Sunny. I think that she just has a wonderful sweet spirit that just flows out from the pages. I really would love to know her, because I’m pretty sure that she would bring a lot of love and light and laughter into anyone’s life, and I don’t know about you, but I could really use that, most days.
I had a lot of laughs in here, some anger, and more than a few tears, but it was a wonderful book and a series that have loved reading. I’m looking forward to seeing where these ladies are going to go next, because I’m pretty sure that it’s going to be awesome.
I love how Sunny and Titus managed to scar their adult children for life. Because of course it was funny as hell.
