Pepper North & Paige Michaels-Lemon Chiffon

Paige and Pepper have created a world full of Littles. They are friends, they all go to the same club, and they are all named after cupcake flavors, which makes sense, since there is a bakery involved. This book is Lemon Chiffon and the second book in the series.

So, Daisy is a florist, and she is a Little who frequents Blaze. She also has a major crush on one of the DMs, Tarson. He goes by Bear, and all of the Littles call him Teddy, as in Teddy Bear. He’s fair, firm, and a secret marshmallow. He also bakes cupcakes at a nearby bakery.

One day, after closing, Daisy is working on a rush wedding order that she got that evening and that has to go out the next day. As she’s working in the back, 4 guys come bursting in the back, trying to shake her down. She doesn’t have any money, so the threaten her and trash some of her work. She’s terrified, so she calls Bear to come help her as soon as they leave.

Teddy really does fit Bear well. He’s like a big Daddy grizzly bear. He’s all gooey in the middle, but he’s also fierce and protective. He won’t let anything hurt any Little, let alone HIS Baby girl. He is willing to go out of his way to help people he thinks are his friends, and he isn’t going to take any guff from anyone.

Daisy is just so super sweet. I really like her. Her favorite color is yellow, which I think is perfect for her, since she is just so sunny. She is a little shy, especially when it comes to people who try to intimidate her, but that’s pretty normal for just about anyone, so there’s that. But, she has so much love to give, and she will return all that love with joy.

Top MM Books of 2020 Pt. 2

OK, we’re back with the second part of my best MM books of 2020. I have 2 books and 1 series of 6 books on this part of the list. And yeah, the entire series belongs on this list. It’s amazing. Remember, these are in no particular order. So, let’s get to it, shall we?

Nikole Knight-Fire & Brimstone Scrolls

When I first got the ARC for Revelations, the first book, it said that it was a RH, but I think that it is more like a poly series instead. It’s 4 guys, Riley, Noel, Jairus, and Gideon. Well, it’s Riley and his 3 guardian angels, but it turns into a relationship. It’s a slow burn series, and I mean seriously slow burn. I don’t think that there is any sex stuff until late in the 2nd book, and normally I’m not a fan of such a slow burn, but the story in this one really dragged me in. It is an intense series, with a lot of horrible things that happen to the main characters, and I mean terrible, terrible, terrible things. There are discussions of previous abuse and sexual assault. The series totally broke my heart at times, but the end totally made it worth everything. Honestly, I can’t even say how much I love this series. One really awesome thing is that we get a character is on the asexual spectrum, and we get to see how the relationship works there.

Gianni Holmes-Fable’s Foes

This is a gay MC Daddy poly book, with age play. Yeah. It may sound like something that shouldn’t work. I mean, you jam all kinds of tropes into one book, and it could get messy. And I’ve seen it happen. But it didn’t here. We have Fable, who is a Little, and who has to hide himself for so many reasons. Then he gets kidnapped. He gets rescued by bikers, because they were there to rescue someone else. Booker and Zak are two of the bikers, and they had been in a relationship of sorts, but they aren’t so much right now. But they are all attracted to each other. Part of the reason I like this one is that we get to see a main character who has something called Klinefelter syndrome, which gives him XXY instead of XY. He’s not trans, but he does have certain issues that go with it, and we get to see the effects of his disorder on his sex life.

Susan Hawke-Rules to Ignore

This is the 7th and last book in Susi’s Davey’s Rules series, and it’s Davey’s story. We kept waiting for this one to come out and it was well worth the wait. The whole series is a Daddy series, and the rules part comes from the rules that Davey sets for his Daddy. I think by the end of book 6, there are 90 some rules. Then we get to Davey’s book, and everything changes. We get to see Davey learning a lot more about himself than he had in the past, in a good way. We also get to see a non-traditional Daddy/boy relationship, and one that is pretty awesome.

Measha Stone & Alta Hensley-Mafia Lullaby

Measha and Alta teamed up and gave us a really perverted, perverse, kinky, debauched, deprived, and filthy story with Mafia Lullaby.

So, we start with Ariana. She works at a bakery, lives her quiet life, and just goes about her life. One night, after working late, she goes to check her ATM and it says that her account is empty, which WTF? She should have money there, so now she has to ride the bus, so she’s sitting at the bus stop, in the dark, at night. And there are two strange men who sitting there with her. At least, until they grab her, shove her in big black car, and inject her with something.

When she wakes up, she discovers that she’ being held in a place where she’s going to be trained as a little girl and sold off to a permanent Daddy.

Costello is her Daddy. He’s part of the Mafia family who developed a special drug called Lullaby that causes the people who take it to regress, so when they give it to the girls they have taken, the girls regress back to acting like a little girl who just wants to make her Daddy happy, and it lowers all their inhibitions. They take women who are isolated so that they can sell them. Ariana is the latest girl for him to train, and there’s just something about her. She has a fire that most girls there don’t seem to have, and there’s something that draws him to her. There may be some reasons that she seems to have that fire, but Costello isn’t sure.

I like Ariana. I think that she has a lot of strength. I think that she is very smart, and more importantly, she’s very canny. She scopes out the situation and figures out what she has to do in order to survive. I think that she is also a good actress. I don’t know if she’s always been good at acting or if it was one of those things that she learned how to do as a survival technique after she was stolen. One way or another, she managed to do it.

I liked Costello from the get-go, basically. He has a good heart. He’s not a good guy, I mean he is highly involved in human trafficking, but he’s not the absolute worst guy out there. He does at least make sure that he takes good care of his girls while he trains them, which is good, I guess. His girls are at least ready to go when their adoption day comes out.

Anthology-Black Light: Roulette War

We just had Valentine’s Day, which means it’s time for the annual Roulette book from Black Light. Black Light: Roulette War is the 4th Roulette book, and the start of a new Black Light season. The first two books took place at the only Black Light at the time, the original in DC. Last year’s book took place in Black Light West, and featured celebrities. This one takes place in both clubs.

Now, I was lucky enough to get to read an ARC, and I was so thrilled to read it. I mean, the Roulette books are always great and always kink AF. But do you know what those mean authors did? They didn’t tell us ARC readers who won! How mean is that? LOL. I mean, really, when it comes down to it, we’re the real winners, so I guess I can’t complain too much.

So, here’s how the story goes. Spencer, the DM for BL East, is at BL West with his wife, Klara. While they are there, Spencer decides to start some shit with Elijah, the DM at BL West. Now, we all know that shit-talking happens, especially among friends and co-workers, which Spencer and Elijah are. But sometimes it gets way out of control, which happened here. Spencer, who can get a little over sometimes, got a little over, and it escalated to the point where the guys are arguing over who is going to have the best ever Roulette. They finally get to a point where they place a bet on it, with Chase and Jaxon acting as judges. (Which pisses them off for reasons.)

We get the stories of 4 couples from each of the clubs. You can judge which one is the hottest for yourself, and which one you think should be the winner. Then you can find out which one the authors thought should win, andI’ll never tell. Ever.

Black Light East

Renee Rose-Prelude

Renee’s story is all about Ravil and Lucy, Master R and Lady Luck. He’s a member of the bratva, she’s a lawyer. She’s all about control, but she’s the sub today, and Ravil isn’t about to give her any control. The thing that I really liked about Renee’s story is that we get to see how much Ravil’s plan is to get inside Lucy’s head, and how quickly he does that. It’s like there is a trapdoor only he has. And it looks like Prelude is the perfect name for this one, and I’m really happy about that.

Eris Adderly-Breathless

This is Eris’ intro into the BL world, (other than the fact that all the covers are hers) and damn, did she hit the road running. Breath play really isn’t my kink at all, it’s a personal hard limit, but the way that Eris wrote about it? Holeeee fuck. And the latex with the gloves? Woooooowwwwww. Violet and Anson were one of my favorite characters.  That put everything over the top. Eris writes kink in such a good way. And she didn’t step back from Anson’s issues while she was writing him, and I thought that was interesting. (Also, can you find the Lit easter egg?)

Kay Elle Parker-Burn

Kay Elle s another newbie to BL. If you’ve followed the blog for a while, you’ve seen me review some of her stuff, and I’m absolutely in love with her books, so I was glad to see her here. I’m hoping that this means she’ll get to do a full book at some point. This is the story of Finn and Ava. I really adore Ava. She’s been through so much, but she was really strong, and Finn challenged her in just the right way. And the fisting and the trust? Wow.

Golden Angel-Inflamed

Golden wrote a full length BL Daddy book last year, and in that book we met Elliot. He gets to play with Lisa, who is excited to play with him, but he’s not all that excited to play with her. He thinks she’s manipulative. They have an incredibly hot scene. And by hot, I mean seriously hot. He sets her on fire. Fire flogging is a thing. Fantastic. I thought the way that Lisa chose her hard limits was hilarious. One of their scenes is something that lives in my head, so yeah, that was so hot.

Black Light West

And now, just as the event at Black Light East is ending, we’re gearing up for Black Light West to get started.

Jennifer Bene-Wicked

Jennifer is one of the original BL writers and is a total staple in Roulette. Her story gives us Pierce and Baby, whose real name is Tori. Tori is a little and Pierce is totally not a Daddy. He’s pretty fucking hardcore, and he really loves humiliation, so the fact that they rolled that works for him. I’m telling you, Roulette makes for interesting play partners and scenes. That scene is hot, but the face fucking that happens is just amazing. I always look forward to Jennifer’s stories because of the touches like that.

Sue Lyndon-Trained

Sue wrote a fun little story with Daddy Xavier and his Dolly, Rachel. Their first roll was pet play, and she made an adorable kitten. You know, one of the things I really liked about Sue’s story is that it is very sweet and it is truly lovely. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still sexy AF and Rachel and Xavier have a great connection, it’s just also low angst and low drama, just the perfect touch for the book.

Measha Stone-Unexpected

Measha’s story has Jack and Quinn. Quinn is new to LA and is looking for new people to play with, so Roulette. Where she gets Jack, and oh yeah, diaper play. Which is totally not what she wants. Jack is actually perfect for her. I love how he gets into her head so much and how she teaches Quinn so much about herself.

Livia Grant-Facade

Livia finishes out this year’s Roulette with her story about Sean and Stephanie AKA Karly Starr, former porn star. Stephanie has come to Black Light because she wants someone who will fuck her silly, without playing any of those silly BDSM games, but she signed up for Roulette, and Sean is going to make her play. These are two words I never thought that I would say on this blog: spontaneous fisting. And the breath play? Siiiiiigggghhhhh. I think that Facade is a really great title for this one.

OK, there you go. Eight fantastically kinky stories by 8 fantastic authors. When you read the book and get to find out who the winner is, you get some great 3 way sex with Emma, Jax, and Chase. Yay!

I’m already looking forward to next year’s Roulette, a whole year from now. I’d love to see an Mm, Fm, or Ff couple in the upcoming season some time, but I’ll be perfectly happy however the authors end up writing their books, so it’s all good.

The 3 Ms-Deliciously Decadent

Maddie, Morganna, and Meredith are back with some Deliciously Decadent stories. I love anything that any of them write on their own, Maddie has shown up here a lot, so you probably know that. None of the stories are co-written, but you are getting a bunch of stories gathered together by the 3 ladies, so it’s all good.

Most of these stories are pretty quick to read, like 10-15 minutes, or at least 10-15 minutes for me. There are a few, like Doctor’s Orders, by Maddie, and Creed’s Joy, by Morganna, that took me a little longer to read them. Not a whole lot longer, but some.

There are some that I would probably more consider a slice of life kind of story, because they are just quick peeks at the lives that the couples in them are living. I would Clarissa’s Stern Daddy and Lucy’s Little Weekend, both by Meredith in this category. We just get a little snippet of a larger story. It’s like someone took an hour or a day of your life and put it on a page. Both of these stories are really sweet and loving, and each shows a happy DD/lg relationship, even if Daddy isn’t necessarily all that happy right that second. There is no drama, no angst, just life.

There is one story that made me bawl my fucking eyes out, and it’s hard to do that in a really short story, and this one is. It’s another Meredith O’Reilly story, and she just wanted to kill me, I think. It’s called A Soldier’s Homecoming. On my Kindle, it runs from 58% to 62%, and took about 7 minutes for me to read. Yes, I went back and checked the percentage and the timing on it. I would tell you the page amount, but I don’t get that on most ARCs. I’m pointing out all those stats so that I can emphasize just how much emotion Meredith packed into this story.

Most of the stories are pretty contemporary, but there are a couple of scifi stories tossed in there, just for fun. You also get a nice pirate story in there as well.

All in all, this book is packed full of stories that you can read when you need a lift, or when you only have a couple of minutes, or you just want to read 3 great authors.

I wanted a picture of something that was delicious and decadent, and I think I succeeded.

Ava Sinclair-Rough Riding Daddies

I have to admit that I am terrible about reading blurbs, especially when it comes to authors I am familiar with and that I like to read. So, when I heard the title Rough Riding Daddies, I expected a menage. Guess what? It’s not. Instead, it’s a story of two couples and how they are intertwined with each other and how life changes. While I would’ve been perfectly happy with a menage story, I’m happier that the story went the way that it did.

Honey and Lennox are one couple. They are in a 24/7 DD/lg relationship. And they are very happy. Lennox is a rancher and a former rodeo rider. Honey is just about to graduate college. She’s been really, really stressed, so Lennox is keeping a secret from her. They have a couple who are friends, who are also in a DD/lg relationship, Joy and Garrett. Joy helped to mentor Honey when she and Lennox were first getting into their relationship and as Honey was figuring out who she was when it came to submission. She and Joy are now BFFs. But, now Joy and Garrett have broken up, and have been for about 3 months. Lennox has known about it, but he hasn’t told Honey because her last semester has been really hard on her. He figured that he’d have time to warn her before her graduation ceremony, but sadly, that didn’t happen. What even Lennox didn’t know is that Garrett has a new girlfriend and a new babygirl.

Garrett has brought his new babygirl, Amy, to the graduation. He had no clue that Lennox hadn’t told Honey or that Joy hadn’t been in touch with her, so that she had no idea that the relationship had ended. But Garrett didn’t warn Lennox that he’d be bringing Amy, so when Honey runs up to them and only sees Amy from the back, she grabs her and calls her Joy. Oops.

As you probably can guess, Honey wasn’t a happy little girl over what was happening. And she had absolutely no problems with letting anyone know about it either. Which of course, isn’t ever a good thing.

Like I said early, this book is really about both couples and how they are entwined together. Lennox and Garrett are best friends and knew each other from the competitive rodeo circle. Lennox and Joy are responsible for introducing Honey and Garrett. Joy mentored Honey and they became good friends. See, totally entwined. But when you pull one part of that equation out and add in a new factor, things get wonky. It can be hard to cope when your support system changes and the things that you thought you knew change.

But that’s not all that this story is about. It’s also about the fear of change and how to handle that change. It’s about finding your happy and fighting for your happy. It’s also about trying to find where you belong. I know that sounds like a whole lot of stuff to be wrapped up in one book about a pair of hot Daddies, but it’s all there. And it’s all wrapped up in a good story that you can really enjoy.

OK, frankly I think that Joy isn’t all that nice a person. I can see where Honey might’ve become good friends with her, but since then, I just don’t think she’s all that.

Allysa Hart & Rayanna Jamison-Santa Daddy

We all know that I will read the fuck out of a good Daddy book, and when it comes to Ally and Rayanna, I know that their books are going to be good. Ally’s stories tend to be on the lighter side of the street and relatively clean. Rayanna will go darker and dirtier. But when it comes to Christmas, they came together perfectly on Santa Daddy. And I will never look at candy canes the same way again.

Yule Claus has a rather famous father, and now that’s turned 39, it’s time for him to take over his father’s business. He is now going to be Santa Claus. There’s just one tiny little catch. He has to choose his Mrs. Claus from the non-believers before Christmas. Normally, that wouldn’t be too much of a problem, but Yule’s birthday is 2 weeks prior to Christmas, so he has 14 days to find the perfect woman off the non-believer list, convert her, and get her to marry him. Christmas magic means that this should be no problem, right? Well…

Luckily for Yule, there is only one woman in his age bracket on the non-believer list, and oh yeah, on the naughty list too. Her name is Crystal and she lives in Las Vegas. She thinks that Santa is made up by the toy companies and that Christmas is just a commercial holiday that has become way too much and only encourages over-consumption. (So, OK, she does have a little bit of a point there.) She’s never really celebrated Christmas and she says she’s never wanted to. So, when Yule pops into her house, literally, in full Santa regalia, she thinks he’s a crazy man who is assaulting her by spanking her.

Yule and Crystal take a journey to help her learn to enjoy the magic of Christmas and to find the joy of the holiday. Of course, that means that he’s about to become her Daddy, but hey, that works really well. I mean, what Daddy doesn’t want his little girl to love Christmas and have a good time. One of the nice things about this story is that while there is sex, it isn’t as down and dirty as it could otherwise be, and it never happens while Crystal is in Little space. I’ve seen it done both ways, and I have no preference either way, but it’s not often that you see it separated out, so it’s a very nice difference. And it’s a very definite choice to not do that, we see that decision being made. And I think that the choices about sex in this story work really well to the story’s benefit. I’m never going to turn down hot and steamy sex in a story, but this is not that book. Does any of that make sense? It does to me, at least, so hopefully I was able to translate it over to other people.

I like Yule. I think he has a sense of humor and he’s very kind and caring, which of course, you would expect Santa to be, but he’s so nurturing to and careful of Crystal, the perfect Daddy. I mostly like Crystal. There are a couple of times when I thought she was a little cynical and jaded, which made it a little hard for me to like her, but they aren’t big sections of the story.

I do believe that this will definitely join my Christmas book lineup every year.

OK, Vixen sounds like someone I’d love to get to know. And Marcus was too funny. I love his comment about how he’s still as gay as gay can be, but he’s planning on getting back on the naughty list next year, lol.

Crystal’s letters literally made me cry. And I loved that there were tear marks on the one. It gave me a happysad.

Ava Sinclair-Scary Daddy

Happy Halloween! OK, OK, it’s 4 days early, but I won’t tell if you don’t tell. And hopefully, the Daddies in Scary Daddy won’t be too upset about it either. Because we all know that would be so, so bad, right?

So, we open on Lindy and Rowan, 2 besties who are sharing a house in a neighborhood with a strict HOA. That means that the head of the HOA, Clay, has already told them that they can’t have their Halloween Hello Kitty up in their yard, because it’s against the rules, which they would’ve known if they had read the manual, which they didn’t. That is making it hard for them to get into the Halloween spirit, which really sucks, as it’s their favorite holiday. But they really, really want to put Hello Kitty up just for Halloween night and the trick-or-treaters. So, they turn off their favorite movie, Hocus Pocus, and might I just add one of my favorite Halloween movies, and go to talk to Clay.

When they get to the house, Clay’s partner Jon opens the door and seems attracted to Lindy, who swears she feels him grab her ass, even though he’s way out of arm reach. Clay turns the ladies down, which means Rowan and Lindy, at Rowan’s instigation, are going to do something about it. Something that may involve Halloween night, rotten duck eggs, and toilet paper.

However, Clay and Jon are onto the ladies and they know that Rowan and Lindy are going to do something about it, which means it’s going to be Clay’s great pleasure to deal with Rowan and Jon’s to deal with Lindy. Of course, our naughty little girls might not be happy with what their Daddy and Papa have planned, but nobody asked them, did they?

This is short read and a very cute Halloween story. Ava does Daddy stories so well, and she showed the different kinds of Daddies that Jon and Clay are from each other without having to really shove it in our face or anything, she just had them going about their business. I would so love to read more about Jon and Lindy and Clay and Rowan, even if it’s just about one of the couples.

OK, I kind of feel sorry for Clay and Jon. It can’t be all that easy being them.

Ava Sinclair-Camp Daddy

Ava Sinclair has gone back to her Daddy roots for this one, and we get not just one dedicated Daddy Dom, but two, and they have set up Camp Daddy for their wives.

We have two pairs of best friends. Elana and Shelby are lifelong friends who married Zane and Archer, best friends and former Marines. Archer and Zane are Doms and they first met Shelby and Elana when they walked into the club where the guys were members. They had a double wedding, and were really close. However, Zane and Elana moved away a little while ago, so they haven’t been able to get together as much. The foursome has a tradition of renting a little cabin for the weekend and having a lot of kinkery fuckery fun. But in the recent past, that hasn’t been happening in either relationship. Both couples have ceased in any kink in their lives, and no one is really happy. So the guys planned this weekend for everyone to get together, but also so that they could get back to where they were, and basically have a Daddy boot camp for their subs. They’ve never really had the DD/lg dynamic before, but it’s something that they are going to try. All the guys know is that they aren’t happy, their wives aren’t happy, and as the Domly types, it’s their job to try and make it right.

Their camp starts bright and early in the morning, after the women had a few too many drinks, and they are woken up way too early. Shelby ends up being spanked then. Then when she and Elana find out what they are supposed to wear, Elana ends up with a belting.

There are a lot of things that I like about this book. One of them is the fact that it shows that marriages aren’t easy and that even the happiest couple can end up at a point where there is a huge chasm in between the couple. It doesn’t even have to start big either. Just a tiny little change can make a huge difference as it goes on. And it doesn’t take a whole lot for that chasm to be more than someone can jump over and just too much work to try to bridge, especially if you feel like you are the only one trying to bridge that divide. So often, in romances, we get the wedding and they ride off into the sunset, happily ever after, so I like to see what happens after the HEA.

OMG, I need to get a rubber ducky just like the one in the book. It would match my rubber ducky shower curtain, and it would definitely put new meaning to the rubber ducky song.

I love that the guys admit that they screwed up. The Domly alpha types generally get seen as infallible, so seeing that they make mistakes and screw up just like everyone else does is always good. I don’t like seeing anyone fail or anything, but Daddies are human too and Daddies can make mistakes that cause serious problems.

Ava Sinclair-The Daddy Treatment

Ava Sinclair is one of the Queens of Daddy Dom and age play books. I love reading whatever she writes, but there is something about her Daddy books which I really like. And, mostly, this one is no different. I 98% loved The Daddy Treatment.

In this world, the rich get richer and the poor get bent over the table and fucked up the ass without lube, a reach around, or dinner, and are expected to be happy about it, and then tossed in the dung heap. Kerry has had a shitty life and has had to deal with neglect and abuse through her whole life. She’s made all kinds of poor choices just so that she could actually feel something, but it didn’t always work. Finally, out of sheer desperation, she goes to a small local store and held it up. Sadly, it didn’t help, and it just made things worse. She ended up getting arrested and then sentenced to prison. She signed paperwork to go to an experimental rehab program.

Eli is a former soldier and a scientist. Together with his partner, he designed a program that would take women who have made such poor choices and help them turn their lives around. Basically, they take the women back to their childhood and give them all the love and cherishing that a Daddy is supposed to give his little girl. One tool they use to do this is a memory retrieval program. It goes into the women’s minds and gets all the memories of their lives. The women don ‘t know that it happens because they are knocked out while it happens. The doctors and the guardians in the program use that information to help establish a bond with their charge.

Eli has seen something about Kerry, and he wants her to be his little girl. He goes through her memories and sees that her mother always called her Sugar, which is now what everyone is going to call her. He’s going to do everything he can to get through to her and help her become the person that she could be.

Like I said before, I 98% loved this book. The one thing I didn’t like was the fact that they were using the women’s memories to create that bond with their Daddies, without the women knowing what’s happening. I can understand why they did it and it works within the framework of the story. I had to sit and figure out why I didn’t like it, and after some time, I was able to figure it out. I spent a lot of time around someone who was manipulative and gaslighted me when I was younger. This person liked to play mind games. To me, that’s what it felt like was going on, that they were using that information to play mind games on the women. Like I said, I understand why they did it, and it gives them a jumpstart into the bonding process, which would otherwise be very difficult for these ladies. I just had to take the time to process my feelings and separate out what I felt versus what was going on in the book, if that makes sense. And all of this is just my personal feelings and it didn’t ruin my enjoyment of the book.

Even with the jumpstart on the process, it had to be hard for these women to trust. I mean, if you look at Sugar, she jumps straight to anger and bypasses anything that shows vulnerability. It is really hard to be vulnerable, especially if you have spent your life being let down, neglected, or abused. Being scared feeds into being angry, and it’s a lot easier to be angry and attack everyone so that you hurt them before they can hurt you. It makes you feel strong instead of weak and vulnerable. It’s a hard and tiring way to live though.

I love that when Sugar finds out about the memories that she is ready to walk. She isn’t going to just forgive and forget immediately. I also like that what happened with her has changed the program and they will tell the women that they accessed her memories. That makes me happy.

I think Mitzi needed some more work, and it was shitty of Eli’s partner to go behind his back and have Sugar’s first encounter with another little girl be Mitzi. He had to have know what would happen, but he just had to be right.
