Renee Rose & Lee Savino-Alpha’s Moon

Before I get started on today’s book, I want to say that I will never put a link on how to read X Book free online. I may provide links to free book giveaways, but never how to read free online. That’s pirating, and I don’t support it.

***********************************************************

OK, now that I’ve had to say that, let’s talk about Renee and Lee’s new book. Alpha’s Moon is the first book in a new series, but this is a continuation of the shifter world they’ve been writing for the past 3 years. We’re based in Taos instead of Arizona, but, other than that, everything is the same.

So, we start with Sadie the Kindergarden Teacher. Her dad is on the city council. Her ex is a huge cheater and keeps trying to get her back. And it’s Whine Wednesday. It’s the day that she and all her girls get together, have wine, and whine. They are out having fun when the 4 of them see some huge guys with wolf tattoos getting off their motorcycles. One of the guys seems to stare at her, and she can’t pull her eyes away from him. Then, her ex calls, tells her that he knows where she is, and he’s waiting by the rideshare pickup stand to take her home. That’s when Sadie is like nope, and accidentally bumps into the hot biker and asks him for a favor. She wants him to pretend that they are dating to her ex, so he’ll live her alone.

Now, let’s talk about Deke. He and his 3 buddies are shifters, all wolves. They used to be Special Ops in the Army, but now all of them have left. They still do the same basic work, but now it’s on a more confidential, sneaky manner. The guys also do some security work. But, Deke has problems. He’s about >< away from going feral. He wants to fight. All the time. And to the death. The whole team is close to the edge, but Deke is definitely the worst. So, he’s been banned from hanging around humans. Then, he smells candy, and realizes that it comes from a sweet woman asking for his help.

A couple of weeks later, Sadie needs a plus one to a wedding, and she’s hoping that Deke will be her pretend boyfriend for the weekend, especially since her ex is going to be there. Despire what his Alpha says, Deke says that he’s going to go with her.

I liked Sadie at the beginning. I thought that she was a sweet person. And she is. But as the book went on, I liked her more and more. We really got to see a lot from her throughout the book, and I really enjoyed that. We don’t always get to see that kind of evolution in the heroine of the book. I really like watching her figure out who she is.

Poor Deke. He was always a good man, but he got so far into his head and was so convinced that he was terrible, that it turned into that. I think that his whole team needs a lot of help, and they need to see a psychiatrist for PTSD, because they all have got it. He has a really strong protective streak and a really good heart. I think that Sadie is going to be so fantastic for him.

I think that Adele knows a lot more than she is saying. I just get a little inkling about that.

I really dislike Sadie’s dad. Ugh.

OK, that’s all for this one, go check it out!

Kate Rudolph-Dekon

I think that this is my first Kate Rudolph book here, but it’s not the first one I’ve read. I own several of the earlier books in this series, and it’s one that I tend to enjoy. So, let’s get to Dekon, shall we?

OK, this is a fated mate scifi romance. The way that it works is that the aliens are a species called Detyens. Their species is dying off. Part of that is because if you don’t meet your denya, your soul mate, by the time you are 30, you are dead. Pfft. Game over. There are so few Detyens left in the universe, it was nearly impossible to find their denya, but then one lucky male found out that humans are compatible. Now, the Detyens are slowly moving to Earth, hoping that they can find denya. OK, now that you have the basics of the world down, let’s get to the specifics.

When Manda was a tween, she was stolen by aliens. She had terrible, horrible, very bad things happen to her. After 5 years, she was saved by Detyens and brought home. But while she was gone, her parents went out to try and find her, and now they are out in space. But Dekon and his brother find her parents and are bringing them home. There’s just one problem for Deke. He’s pretty sure that Manda is his denya, which is a good thing. She’s only 16 and is recovering from MAJOR trauma, which is a bad thing. He doesn’t want to do anything that will stunt her growth or her recovery. He also doesn’t want to torture himself by spending years around her without being able to claim her. So, he decides, for both their sakes’ that he will leave. He leaves and ends up being a merc.

Five years later, he’s tired and is basically trying to kill himself. But after some thought, he decides to go to a Temple of Peace and try to fix himself. He lets his family know, and he lets Manda know. Manda is PISSED. She’s been waiting for years for him to come home, and he hasn’t talked to her at all during those years. She knows that she’s probably his denya, and so does his family, who she is close to. She decides that she’s not going to stand for his shit anymore. She’s going to go out and get her man.

I thought that Manda was very mentally and emotionally strong. She went out and was going to do the things that she wants to do, even if it’s scary, like going out to space. I love her thought that she probably won’t be abducted by aliens twice. She has had to fight, hard, to be where she is. She has to fight so that she could be better. She had to fight hard to deal with her parents, and all her feelings with them. I have so much respect for her and her strength and her will.

I understand why Dekon did the things that he did. He really was kind of in that I’m going to be damned if I do and damned if I don’t, so either way, I’m just damned. It had to be so hard for him to know what Manda was to him but have to deal with her being young, physically, and deal with her trauma which can make her older mentally and emotionally. There’s that. I think that he’s a good male, and he did, most of the time, the things that were the right things to do.

OK, nothing down below today. Go check it out!

Grace Goodwin-Surprise Mates

It’s been a minute since I had one of Grace’s books on the blog, so yay! This one is a fun, sweet, sad, and made me very happy. In Surprise Mates, we get to see a lot of past favorites, so that was always nice. And we get set up for another Bachelor Beast style book some time in the future, I think. Which, again, yay! I have mad love for Atlans.

So, we have Lucy, who we met back with Olivia and Wulf. She is Olivia’s best friend, and when she and Wulf mated, she went to The Colony with them. She hangs around with the human brides, watches the kids, and is Aunt Woocy. But she’s lonely. None of the males on The Colony fit for her, and she isn’t going to have a fling with one of them anyway, because it would be mean to them. So when Queen Jessica’s mates throw her a surprise birthday party, or well, more of an event, and invite all of pretty much everyone, Lucy decides that Prillon Prime is Space Vegas, and what happens on Prillon Prime stays there. She’s out to find a hunky hottie or two and take a ride to Pound Town.

Then we have Niklas and Sambor, Nik and Sam. Niklas is an ambassador, and Sambor is his second, body guard, and pretty much Prillon’s best warrior and assassin. They are at the party when the DJ tells everyone they have to line dance, and that was reinforced by Jessica’s mate Ander, so yeah, everyone danced. Or, well, tried to do the Electric Slide. Nik and Sam didn’t do well, and knocked over Lucy, which actually ended up working out well for everyone. She looked at them, and said hey, I want orgasms, you want to give them to me? And I’m only barely paraphrasing there. And of course, the guys were more than willing to provide all kinds of orgasms.

I like Lucy, and I have liked her since we first met her. She’s a devoted friend, protective and loving. She and Olivia created a family of choice, and they really are sisters. Lucy just wants to have the best for her friend, and she’s happy at The Colony. Or rather, by her own words, she’s content. Content =/= happy. Content can be good, but it’s also lonely, so… I don’t blame her for at least wanting to get her swerve on while she’s on Prillon Prime.

Niklas and Sambor are both really good males. Nik is a little overly duty bound, I think, but that isn’t always a bad thing, really. I mean, part of his job is to make sure that the Hive isn’t getting a foothold in Coalition space, and he has to work with all kinds of people, so being very serious about his duty is kind of necessary right now. Sam is there to protect him, and has saved his life many times.

I think that this was a good story, and I did get teary a couple of times, but it made sense to be teary then. It was a little different to most of the IBP books, but it works really well here.

OK, nothing under the pic today. Go check it out! Happy reading!

Anna Edwards-The Power of a Myth

I love Anna’s Glacial Blood series a whole lot. I’m all dragged into the series, and I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen with the next one, because dayum. But of all the books of the series I’ve read so far, The Power of a Myth is my favorite. It’s not very focused on the world as a whole, or even the fight that is ongoing, although there are bits and pieces of that through the book. Instead, it is laser focused on Hayden and Molly. All of the books focus on the couple in question, but never one as much as this one, I think. And I think that it works for this one in a way that it wouldn’t in other books.

So, we have Hayden and we have Molly. And we have the Vietnam War. Molly is a puma shifter from the Glacial Blood pack, and she has just finished training to be a nurse and has joined the military. And she’s just arrived at a base in Vietnam. She’s not even technically on duty yet, but when the sirens go off warning that there’s incoming wounded, she gets pulled into the OR. This is when she meets Hayden. He saved a friend and got injured. Molly helps work on his friend and then gets to talking to Hayden, and there’s just something there about him.

Hayden is just fascinated by Molly. They spend all the time together that they can. Then he sees her coming out of the jungle and loses it, because the only reason people go into the jungle around the base is to fuck. So, he confronts her, she gets mad and tells him that if he wants to know what she was doing, he should follow her. That’s where he finds out her secret and not just that she’s a puma, but that he’s also her mate. They swear to each other that after the war is over, they will be together, because he has to leave for a mission in the morning.

Can you guess where we are headed? Yeah. That’s where we’re going.

My heart broke for Molly. She lost her mate and had no body to grieve over. She’s spent the last fifty years since she saw him last living alone, being alone. She lives as part of the Glacial Blood Pack, and has helped to train Kas and other members of the pack, but she lives a part from them, in her cave. Her very nice cave, to be sure, but in her cave. She’s fiercely independent, but now in her 70s, she’s finding life harder, so she’s now headed to the mansion. Issue is, she’s not the only one. I think that she’s really strong, and it isn’t even that she learned to be strong during those years, but that’s just who she is all the time. There’s just this spine of steel. She’s also very caring, because she loves her pack and she helps her pack. I really like her a lot.

I think that for as much as Molly broke my heart, Hayden hurt it even worse. Hayden had to willingly and knowingly make the sacrifice that he did. He knew what he was getting into. I think that he even knew, in his heart of hearts, that it was going to be sch a long time before he’s able to lay down his burden. Not only has he made the sacrifice, he keeps track of Molly through people who know them both, so he’s got that little self-torture going on. So yeah, that’s why I think that he hurt my heart worse.

Hayden is a damned honorable warrior though. He made his choice willingly, he could’ve run away, but he looked at what was being told him and he weighed the options and did what he saw as the right thing, even if it’s the thing he didn’t want to do.

I love a second chance kind of romance, and this is definitely in that second chance category, but it’s more than that to me. It’s kind of like an extended chance versus a second chance. It’s not like their relationship truly ended in a break up, sooo… I dunno. Do you see where I’m going with my thoughts? I hope so, because I’m not 100% sure that I do.

Anyway, nothing under the picture today. Go check it out!

Off topic: I have a gift exchange set up for my FB group, if you like to send out gifts to random people and get gifts sent to you, check it out! My theory is that it has been a shitty year, and we can spread a little sunshine. The budget is just $10, so it’s pretty inexpensive.

Renee Rose & Vanessa Vale-Fierce

Fierce is the5th book in the Wolf Ranch series put out by the very talented Renee Rose and Vanessa Vale. In this one, we get to meet Charlie who gets together with part-time ranch hand and acting sheriff, Levi.

So, back at the ranch, the guys are waiting for a vet to bring a mare that is going to be bred to one of the Wolf Ranch studs. Levi is grumpy because the vet is going to be there for 2 weeks, and is going to be staying in the bunkhouse the entire time. Levi isn’t all that thrilled about having to share the bunkhouse with a human for 2 weeks. He had some issues with his human grandparents, and that soured him for humans for the rest of his life. But, Rob is his boss and his alpha, and what Rob says goes, and Rob said that Charlie will stay. Then, the truck hauling Seraphina, the mare, drives up, and all of a sudden things change.¬†You see, Charlie the vet isn’t Charles the vet, she’s Charlotte the vet.

Charlie’s boss wants his best mare bred to the best stud, which would be Eddison at the Wolf Ranch. Because he is so particular, he wants her to stay there and hand breed the mare, and supervise the entire thing. When she pulls up and gets out of the truck, she surprises everyone, since she wasn’t what they were expecting to see. When there is some discussion as to where she will stay, she tells everyone that she will just go back into town and stay at a motel there. But Levi has something to say about that idea, and he says that she will be staying at the bunkhouse, with him, and only him. Johnny, the other ranch hand, gets kicked out to stay with his parents.

Levi is attracted to her, but he isn’t sure that she’s his mate, because he’s only half wolf, and he’s never shifted, so he doesn’t have that instinct, but that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t have plans for Charlie. But Charlie, for as much as she would like to have plans for Levi, also has some problems in CO, and they aren’t going to go away anytime soon.

I love how strong and confident Charlie is. She’s worked hard to get to where she is, she’s good, and she knows it. Of course, with the fact that she’s Black and a woman, she has to be better than good, and has to always be professional just so no one dings her. But, she is good. And she’s funny. She’s also very caring, which you can see when she talks to her Pops and deals with the horses. It’s more than just a job for her. I really like her, and I was mad that she was put in a bad place.

I totally understand why Levi is upset about having humans around. His family history isn’t conducive to liking humans. He’s a very good man too. He just wants to live his life. He hasn’t had any huge burning desire to go into law enforcement, but he seems to be good at it, and I think that he will do good for people, for more than just the fact that it’s a good idea to have someone in the know being part of law enforcement in the area.

I get why Rob did what he did, and it worked, but it was kinda dickish to do.

OK, that’s all for today! Go check it out! Happy reading!

Susi Hawke-The Reluctant Alpha

Susi is one of my favorite MM omegaverse authors. She writes shifter and non-shifter books, her Hollydale books are fucking hilarious, especially anything with Tom, and under Susan Hawke, writes some great contemporary MM fiction. Today, we have The Reluctant Alpha, which is the first book in a new shifter omegaverse series, and I really can’t wait for the rest of the series.

So, we get straight down to business here. Matthias and his friends are in a bar when Matt gets a phone call. It’s his old friend Jared, and Jared has a proposition for him. He tells Matt that he needs to come back to his family pack, take over, and oh yeah, save an omega from sure and certain death. Jared is an alpha wolf, and his besties are 4 other alpha wolves, who have all left their home pack for one reason or another. In this world, no one thinks that a pack can have more than an alpha and an heir, but these guys have proved that’s not true. The 5 of them have created a motorcycle club called West Coast Wolves, and among other things, they try to help out those in need. Which means that when Jared calls and says that his family pack is now leaderless and that the old alpha’s pregnant omega mate is now dying, Matt has to do something. So, off he goes to the town he left behind 10 years ago, to try to pull his pack together.

Elisha is an omega who was stolen away from his old pack by an alpha named Horace. He forced a bond on Elisha, and was basically a complete asshole. Then, after 6 months of trying to negotiate with Horace, Elisha’s father came and challenged him. Horace is now dead, and Elisha’s father left him for dead, because Elisha no longer fits into his father’s plans, so who cares if he is going to spend 3 months dying in pain. Matthias walks into Elisha’s room and discovers that not only is Elisha about to become his mate, but that they are true mates, which works out really well.

Susi says that this one is a little darker than some of her others, but I don’t think it is all that dark. I mean, I don’t think it is all that dark by anyone’s standards, let alone my “I read pitch black” standards. There are a couple of moments that are intense, and more intense than you might see in most of Susi’s books, but overall, it is very Susi. Which is a good thing. You get strong characters, both alphas and omegas, a lot of love, and some humor. And those things are very much alive in this book.

Elisha is really just a sweet and loving guy. He’s also ruthlessly practical, I think. He has no problem with seeing what needs to be done and doing it. He has his fingers on what’s going on in the pack, and he loves the pack. He does everything he can to make the pack better. I think that Matt will really depend on Elisha and his good ideas.

Matt is a good guy. He has some ideas that are contrary to the way current society runs, but they make his path to work better. Like, he won’t keep Elisha or other omegas as second class citisens, but tells everyone that Elisha is his partner and equal. Not only tells them, but actually treats him accordingly.

Jared was a nice little addition, as were the other 4 alphas, who we’ll be seeing more of in upcoming books.

No spoilers today. It’s a quick, easy read, and one that I really enjoyed. So, go check it out! If you’ve wanted to try out MM shifter omegaverse, I’d definitely sugget this, and if you want to try MM omegaverse, check out Susi’s Men of Hollydale books. Happy reading!

Vanessa Vale & Renee Rose: Savage

Savage is the 4th book in Vanessa and Renee’s Wolf Ranch series, and the first one that isn’t one of the Wolf brothers, although it could be argued that the Wolf boys are Clint’s brother because after their parents died, Clint’s parents basically adopted the boys and helped them out as much as possible, so there’s that. So let’s get into the gig, shall we?

Clint helps out his pack as much as possible, as well as working on the ranch, but he has one really important and super-secret job. He’s an enforcer for the ruling council of the shifter world. There aren’t a lot of them, and their identities are all kept secret. That’s because they are the ones who handle the shifters who are endangering the secret of the shifters. So, he’s the one who gets called out when there is a shifter who is on drugs and killing humans. Clint has to go out and kill him. During that mission, it just reminds him that he can’t have a mate, because the fact that he had been an enforcer would put his mate at risk. What Clint doesn’t know is that fate has other plans for him.

Becky is a nurse, and she’s Audrey’s best friend. At Audrey’s bachelorette party, Clint and Becky hooked up after Clint got his nose broken protecting her. It was some wild and crazy fucking, and Becky was totally down with it. And then they both walked away. And it seemed like everything was good, except she couldn’t stop thinking of him. Then she found out that she would never be able to stop thinking about him because that one night had one huge repercussion. Clint’s little swimmers got through the condom and knocked Becky up. She hasn’t seen him (mostly because he’s been gone), and she’s not sure that she’s going to tell him she’s pregnant. It’s not that she wants to hide from him, but there are several reasons why she has to do it.

Clint is a good and honorable man. It really tears him up to do his job, but he really does it because he knows that the job has to be done. He’s also a good man because he wants to protect the people in his care. I think that he needed to stop holding onto some of his secrets sooner, because the truth will set you free.

Becky is incredibly strong. She’s had to be, and I’m really impressed by her. She has to handle some stupid shit, and she does, well. I think that having some backup is definitely good for her, but I feel like she could probably go through a lot more on her own, but it’s good she doesn’t have to.

I love this world, and I’m looking forward to more in it.

Ugh, Creepy McCreeperson is creepy and stalkery AF.

OK, that’s all for today. Go check it out! Happy reading!

Renee Rose & Vanessa Vale-Feral

Feral is the 3rd book in Renee and Vanessa’s Wolf Ranch series. This book is the story of Rob, who is the oldest brother and the Alpha of the Wolf pack. He’s close on to succumbing to the moon madness because he hasn’t met his mate yet, and he will have to be put down by his family. So, shall we find out whether or not Rob gets offed?

Let’s start with Rob and one of his men going to Natalie’s house. She’s the neighbor who inherited her house after her uncle died. Her property is in between the Wolf Ranch and their dickhead neighbor, Jett. Jett has been trying to get her property, and he’s done all kinds of things to try and get the property. So when Rob and his man hear a woman screaming when they get to their house, they burst in and search the house. Lucky for Rob, bad for Natalie, because she was in her room having some special time with a great big dildo. Then she grabbed a handgun and pointed it at him. Which, you know, might make a normal man lose his erection, but not Rob, especially since Natalie is his mate.

Then we have Natalie, who isn’t really Natalie. Her name is actually Willow and she’s an undercover DEA agent there to try to bust Jett, because he’s working with a cartel member to traffic drugs. She doesn’t know that she’s Rob’s mate, all she knows is that she’s terribly attracted to Rob, and frankly, his rather large VPL doesn’t hurt anything. Willow knows that she really shouldn’t get too involved with Rob, because she’s supposed to be getting Jett to pay attention to her, and she can’t afford to be distracted, but it’s impossible to stay away from him.

Willow is a badass bitch. I mean, she outshoots Rob with her offhand. When she uses her dominant hand, she is spectacular. She knows who she is and she’s very happy in her skin and with who she is, I think. I think that she very much owns her sexuality, and has no problems with wanting what she wants, and definitely has no problems with going after what she wants. I liked watching her work, because she was really good at her job. I am looking forward to seeing more of her in later books.

Rob is a good man and a good leader. Of course, he sometimes has his head up his ass and doesn’t stop and think, which causes him some problems. Luckily, he has brothers who are willing to kick the crap out of him, if necessary. Of course, I think that it would take both of them, and maybe a friend or two, to beat Rob up. But he really is a good guy who wants to make sure that his pack is well-taken care of, even at the risk of losing his own happiness.

wolf-2705883_1920

I liked how Rob handled the young woman from Canada.

OK, that’s all I have to say about this one. Go check it out! Happy reading!

Claire Marta-A Hellion Heart

I had never read any of Claire’s Cease Fire series before I signed up to review this one, and Claire was kind enough to send me the first 3 books. Now I’m kicking myself for not having read the books before, because the series is just so very good. A Hellion Heart definitely fits in with the rest of the series, and it kept me really engaged.

So, we have Cade, and his brothers Ryan and Benson. They are triplets and werewolves. They have been hired by Lucifer to make sure that the seals between Hell and Earth stayed sealed. They have been able to make sure that most of them are closed and sealed again, but there is one that they haven’t been able to find. Early on in their search for everything, Cade slept with a demon named Jinx, who just happens to be the person who was hired to open the seals. During that time, they ended up mated. Somehow, Jinx got a mate mark on her hand from him, and now, they are bound together, whether she wants it or not, and right now, she really, really, really doesn’t. But Cade knows that he is the one for him and his brothers, since they will share a mate, they just have to find her and convince her of that.

Meanwhile, Jinx has stopped messing with the seals, for reasons, and now she’s trying to stay one step ahead of some bounty hunters. Bounty hunters other than Cade, Ryan, and Benson. There’s someone in her past who wants to capture her, and her sister Karma, and own them again. If/when they do find her, horrible things tend to happen. And one such terrible thing has happened right now. She was caught and has been delivered to her own personal nightmare, and she’s been through into a place called The Glory Hole. Bet you can guess what happens there. The wolves manage to get her out, and take her someplace safe, where Karma shows up, and oh, Lucifer and his queen, Mavi.

I think the wolfie brothers are actually pretty good guys. They are bounty hunters and aren’t really the good guys, but they are pretty good men. They seem to have a strong sense of honor that they follow. While they are kind of idiots about Jinx in the beginning, since they were coming at it from the world view they’ve always had, they were eventually able to get their heads out of their asses and make good decisions when it comes to Jinx. There were times when the things that happened between the brothers and Jinx absolutely broke my heart.

I like Jinx. I love how fierce and confident she is, at least most of the time. She has some very, very, very thick walls up, and knowing her past, I don’t blame her for having those walls up either. I would probably buttress them so that they are even stronger. She loves her sister, and she loves her fiercely. Anyone who is inside of her walls is fiercely cherished and loved. I like that she slowly decides to give Cade and his brothers a chance.

I can’t wait to get Karma’s story, if we ever do. She has mysteries that I want to know more about. I am also looking forward to Cassandra’s story. I’m pretty sure that it’s going to be a hard one.

I worried about what might happen when we met Thanatos. I mean, Greek angel of death, never a good thing.

OK, that’s all for this one. Go check it out! Happy reading!

Grace Goodwin-Bachelor Beast

This book gives me all the things I love in the Interstellar Brides universe. We get the Colony and Atlans. I love the Atlans. I want an Atlan of my very own. I keep trying to get one, so I guess I’ll have to keep trying. I also love all the guys on the Colony. They need all the love ever. Which is what leads to the Bachelor Beast.

So, there just aren’t a lot of brides for all the guys on the Colony. Those poor guys can’t really go home because of the Hive contamination, and until recently they were stuck there with no brides, but things have changed. There are still a lot of guys stuck there. But then the Governor’s bride had an idea, why not have one of the guys go down to Earth and do some good positive PR?

Warlord Wulf came down to Earth and he thought that he would just be doing some interviews. Then he found out that he’s going to be doing a reality show called the Bachelor Beast. We all know the basic idea behind those shows. Wulf was given the choice of many nice women, and the goal is that he would find his mate at the end, and offer her his mating cuffs, live on TV of course, and live happily ever after. He has to find a mate, because he’s on the edge with his mating fever, and if he doesn’t get one soon, he’s going to have to go to Atlan to be dealt with. And he has one huge problem. His beast does not want either of the two remaining women. He’s talking to the governor of the Colony, his bride, and their second, and trying to get them to understand, but they are Prillion and not Atlan, so they don’t get it quite as much. At this point, Wulf has some hard choices. Then he walked out on stage, and things start to happen.

Olivia is a makeup artist who was hired to work on the show. Usually she’s gone by the time the show is filmed, but not today. Today she’s switched hoours with her boss so that she can watch the finale being taped live. It’s the first time that she’ll be seeing Wulf live. She’s seen him on the show, since she’s been watching it, but never in person. Well, maybe if she had been in the same room with him before this, the whole show would’ve been different, but she wasn’t and it isn’t. And she’s about to get way up close and personal with Wulf. You see, as soon as Wulf’s beast senses Olivia he knows that he has finally met his perfect mate, and what a beast wants, a beast gets. He knocks over a camera, he smashes the mic in the host’s hand, and it’s damn shame that he doesn’t break the hand of the host, but Wulf is honorable. That doesn’t mean that he isn’t going to grab Olivia, take her to his dressing room and get jiggy with her. But then, things happen, and Olivia ends up running away, and Wulf ends up tranquilized. Thank goodness for Warden Egara.

I love Warden Egara, she is the absolute best. I love how she can pretty much just smack people around, even huge Atlan beasts, using just her words and her voice. It’s not even like she is loud and booming, she’s just her, and she makes things happen. I really, really, really want her to get a second chance at happiness. If you are in either of Grace’s rooms, you will see that Egara is a fan favorite, and everyone wants her to get a new mate or mates. Hopefully it will happen for her. Soon. Please?!?!?!

Olivia is a good woman. She’s has a good heart and she takes care of what is hers. She does have some self-esteem issues, and I bet that working in show business doesn’t make that easier on her. But I really like her. She is so ready to be loved and has so much love to give.

Wulf has shown up in books from time to time, and he’s one of my favorites, because Atlan, but he’s just a good guy. You can see how good he is just from all the ways that he acts. He’s done everything he can to help out the people on the Colony, and that includes doing things like this stupid reality experiment which he hates, but doing it helps the other males on the Colony, both by getting them new brides and by making people aware of those folks. He so deserves a good woman, like, oh, I dunno, Olivia.

Ugh. Chet. Yuck. I hope someone smashes him hard, because he totally deserves it. Same with Ruth.

OK, that’s all for this one. Go check it out! Happy reading!
