B B Blaque-Crucifixed

This is the newest Royal Bastards MC book. It’s the second one in the New York chapter. Crucifix, the male main character in this one, is a good balance to FOCUS, who was the main male character in the first book. So, let’s talk about Crucifixed, shall we?

Giovani grew up in a Catholic orphanage. While he was there, he met a lovely girl named Fiona. He and Fiona became close. Very close. He was going to be a priest, she was going to be a nun. Then Giovani got kicked out of the situation, and eventually found the RBMC and became Crucifix. He still likes to hear confessions, but he orders much different penance to those who come to him for confession. Generally it involves blowjobs and his belt. He is relatively happy, except for one thing. When he left, his Fiona, his Snaps, didn’t come with him, she went on to the convent. But every now and again, she comes to confess with Crucifix. They both get their fix from it, but the problem is, it’s hurting them both. It tears them up because they both have feelings for each other, but they can’t stay together because Fiona refuses to leave the convent.

Most of the book is from Crucifix’s POV. We get to learn a lot about him. I think that he is an intense man. I think that it’s important in this story that he’s the one who we see the most of, because it’s really his pain and rage that push the story. That’s not to say that Fiona doesn’t have some of her own, and she does, but they just don’t compare with the hurt that Crucifix has. And knowing his backstory, I don’t blame him for being angry and hurt af. I totally would’ve been too.

This isn’t as intense as some of BB’s other books, but even though the Masters and the RBMC exist in the same world, they have very different intensity needs, and very different paths. I mean, I’m not saying that the book isn’t intense, because it totally is, but it’s a different kind of intense, and a different kind of darkness. Of course, any book where the Bishop shows up has dark and intense in it.

I’m looking forward to seeing where Crucifix and Fi go if we get to see them in any other RBMC books that BB writes.

Nothing under the pic today. Go check it out! Happy reading!
