Sara Fields-Primal

So, several weeks ago I promised back to back Sara Fields books, but Amazon was all kinds of fucked up with one of them. Well, Amazon finally got their heads out of their asses and now we have Primal, so yay! This is the second book in the Alpha Brotherhood books, which is a dark omegaverse series. So, let’s get into it, shall we?

We met Luna in the last book. Freya saved her because she was being kept as the evil king’s omega. Poor Luna was just terribly handled. She was in not good shape. So Freya, being the awesomeness that she is, brought Luna home and took care of her. Now that Luna is starting to feel better, she’s making plans. Her plans though, probably aren’t the same plans that Freya would have for her. Luna’s plans include escaping back to the castle where she used to live. She doesn’t want to go back there, for a whole lot of reasons, but she does have to go back there for one very good reason. She has a daughter. Luna hasn’t seen her daughter in years, all she knows is that she’s been kept somewhere in the castle. So, Luna is going to go back there, find her daughter, and rescue her.

Meanwhile, Ghost, the head of the Brotherhood, has other plans for her. He has talked Vikar, one of his alphas, and set Vikar on her. So when Vikar realizes that she’s left, he heads out to track her. He’s going to drag her back to safety, and oh yeah, he’s going to claim her too. So, track her down he does. And then does it again. And, oh yeah, maybe 4 or 5 more times too.

I like Luna. She tries so hard to get back to her daughter. She isn’t going to let anything get in her way, including huge scary cat monsters and random alphas who think that she is going to listen to them and do what they want her to do. I think that she is very clever and very determined. We get to see her resourcefullness and strength several times during this book. She fights through a lot of stuff and endures a whole lot to get her daughter. I truly respect that.

I like Vikar too. Once he realizes what’s going on with Luna, he’s literally there doing everything he can to help her. And there are times when it is really hard for him, but even during the hard times, everything that he is doing is for Luna’s benefit and to make sure that she gets everything she needs. Notice I say needs, because there are times when she wants something in particular, but needs and wants aren’t the same thing.

There was one part that really broke my heart on Luna’s behalf.
