Raisa listened to Daddy and brought us a sweet Halloween Daddy story. It’s part of her Holiday Daddies books, which means we have a new guardian angel as well as a new Daddy and his little girl. I really enjoyed Treats for Lucia, and I really want to see more of Serena.
We start with Serena, who is now a guardian angel, and she has dragged Gabriel into a kink club called Sinners and Saints. Personally, I love the idea of dragging an archangel into a kink club. She’s there on a mission. She needs to check on Lucia and make sure that she’s OK.
Lucia, meanwhile, is not OK. She’s so far from OK that she can’t even see it. She’s reeling from Serena’s death, and can’t manage to get herself back on level footing. In fact, she’s so bad off right now that she’s snuck some vodka into her drink, which is a very strict no-no. Luckily, Serena is there to handle it, and she manages to switch Lucia’s drink with Ryan’s, and he finds out what Lucia is doing.
Ryan is a Dom. And not only is he a Dom, but he’s a Dom that Serena and Lucia trained. The ladies were partners, with Lucia being a switch. He finally finds out exactly how badly Lucia is currently doing, and he’s not going to have it. He drags her out of the club, takes her home, and tells her that either she consents to getting a spanking, or he leaves and tells the club she was drinking on the premises. Lucia decides that she will take the spanking. Later that night, Ryan finds out what Lucia has been hiding and part of why he’s had such a hard time with Serena’s death.
Serena is good. And also, a little scary. In a good way. I wouldn’t want to mess with her. I would, however, count myself lucky if she were my guardian angel. And I love how she handles the angels.
I really sympathised with Lucia. Trying to struggle with figuring out who you are and what you want is never easy. It’s even harder if you think that what you want is something wrong or abnormal, or anything like that. It is a definite struggle, and one that really seems to tear her apart. I really applaud her courage in the steps that she takes in this book.
Ryan is just a damn good man. He may worry that he’s going to screw stuff up, but he has Lucia at the center of everything he does, which means even if he does screw up, he’s going to be able to get it right again. I think that he really is going to be so good for Lucia.
OK, that’s all for this one. No spoilers today, because this is a short one. It’s a really sweet read, and was just what I needed.
