The Rogue Captain is book 6 in the Lost Planet series by K and Nicole. And I think our little lost planet isn’t quite as lost as it used to be. It’s definitely not as empty as it used to be. I mean, first we had the morts in the Facility and the women they found on the ship, and now we have the women from the prison too. It’s a huge population growth. The planet will be completely repopulated any second now. As long as they can completely beat the Rades.
And speaking of the Rades, let’s get into our story. The humans in the prison have been dealing with the Rades. Theron has been tasked to go back to the facility to get their doctor so that he can work with the woman who is treating the humans. Willow is going to with him, because she’s come all this way and she’s bound and determined that she’s going to see her mom, even if she can’t get up close and personal because of the Rades right now. But, to do that, she’s going to have to spend days on a tiny ship alone with Theron. She doesn’t want to have anything to do with him, and he can’t keep his eye off her ample tracts of land. Finally, she decides that they should just become fuck buddies until they get the doc, and then it’s all over. Which suits Theron right down to the ground. Except he knows that she’s his mate, and he’s pretty sure that he’ll be able to convince her of that. He just wants to be able to be with her.
Theron is funny AF. He also is pretty sure that he’s the best thing ever. The best mort, the best looking, the best pilot, the best lover, the best everything. Just ask him. He’ll be more than happy to tell you. Although, I am not entirely sure how he knows that he’s the best lover, because, well he hasn’t cashed his V card in yet. Maybe he’s just read the manual so many times that he’s sure he’ll be great. Who knows. I do like him though. I haven’t met a pilot who wasn’t a cocky son-of-a-bitch, and I would think that would have to go double for a pilot that can go into space, so I think Theron is just being who he should be. But for all that cockiness, he really is just a sweet guy who wants to love and be loved.
Willow is an incredibly fierce woman. I can’t imagine all that she must’ve had to go through after being left as a young child. I mean, she touches on some of it, and then you can guess a lot of what happened when she got to the prison. But she never talks about what she did to get to where she was. It couldn’t have been easy, and I think that whatever she did to break the law and end up in prison had to have been hard for her to do, because that’s not really her, I think. With as fierce and strong as she is, and as willing to do everything as she is, she has a very good core. She wouldn’t be her mother’s daughter if she didn’t. I’ll bet that some of the stuff she ended up having to do was really hard for her to do.
I’m looking forward to seeing what happens in the next book, because it’s going to be a good one, I think. I’ve got my fingers crossed for our guys.
I want to know what the baddies are going to do.
