What happens when the lights go out in the city that never sleeps?

Games of chance, unexpected situations, and hours of sin!

Thirteen bestselling and award-winning authors are turning up the heat in an anthology featuring brand-new show-stopping stories set in Las Vegas. Roll the dice and get ready to feel the heat!

Night Games by T.K. Leigh:

Note to self: Never agree to play an innocent dice game during a blackout in Vegas. I should have known it wouldn’t remain innocent, not in the city of sin.

Night & Day by Bethany Lopez:

One explosive weekend together nearly ruined them. But, there’s no way Simone and Micah can ignore their chemistry when they’re alone in the dark.

Close Encounter by Stephanie St. Klaire:

The day started with a quick screw, a couple of quirky two-bit cons and ended with a diabolical serial killer. What do you do when the lights go out? Run.

Absolutely Mine by Terri E. Laine:

I made a promise to stay away from my best friend’s little sister. But it’s Vegas and that’s one promise I’m probably going to break.

Honeymoon Hideaway by Cary Hart:

What’s worse than being locked in room with a vibrating bed and your sworn enemy? Waking up next to him… naked! Did I mention he’s also my boss? Oops.

The Do-Over by Christi Barth:

The best way to move on after being dumped? A hot fling. An even better way? Revenge sex and the chance to turn the tables on the guy who dumped you…

Just Us by J.H. Croix:

Ellie asks me to promise her one thing. We can’t tell her brother about us. Small problem though. One night will never be enough.

Dirty Thoughts by C.A. Harms:

He was the crush I never thought I’d see again. Yet here we were in Vegas, during a total blackout. I figure why not explore all the possibilities, or more like let him explore me?

Hard Luck by K.A. Ware:

Ellis James is my kryptonite, the only person who could drag me back to Vegas after I promised myself I was done with that life. I’d bleed for her, I’d die for her, but can I save her?

Becoming His by K.I. Lynn:

When I slammed into Hollywood heartthrob Reid Gallagher, I never imagined it would turn into a first date I’d never forget. After all, what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas…right?

Going Down by Lisa Shelby:

She’s the only person I’ve ever loved and I’m the last person she wants to see. She’d hoped to avoid me as much as possible in Vegas, but when we get stuck alone in an elevator, not even she can deny that our chemistry still runs hot.

Blind Faith by Lauren Runow:

I never expected to be locked out of my room basically naked in a total blackout. Thinking that would be the biggest shock of my night was my first mistake.

Anna Edwards-Blaire’s World: Oliver

Blaire’s World is a shared world set of 7 books. They are all based in the world that Anita Gray created with her book Blaire, but they can all be read as a standalone. There may be some mild spoilers to Blaire or Blaire 2, but you don’t have to have read those books in order to read the Blaire’s World books. They don’t have to read in any particular order. However, I highly recommend reading the Blaire books, just because I think that they are great books. Six of the books are coming out on 2/26, but Demetrius will be coming out later in the year, for personal reasons.

Anna Edwards’ Oliver is the last of the Blaire’s World books released today.

Oliver is a character we’ve brushed up against before. He was loaned out to work with Maksim, which meant he knew Blaire. But now, he’s back with his own Pakhan, who almost makes Maksim look warm and fuzzy. Almost.

Oliver was born in England, but it turns out his dad was a member of the Russian Mafia who tried to run, and when Oliver was 8, they caught up to him, and Oliver then was taken into the Mafia and made to do terrible things. Twenty years later, he’s been made avtoritet, which leaves him second only to Victor, the Pakhan.

Amaya is the daughter of a man in a Mexican cartel. Her dad is trying to get in with Victor, so he’s giving her to him. Amaya thinks it’s just a loan, which has happened many times before, but nope, circumstances conspire to make it a permanent thing.

When Oliver and Amaya first meet each other’s eyes, sparks flew. Too bad that nothing could happen, because she now belongs to Victor, as does Oliver.

I love Anna Edwards, and I definitely love what she puts her characters through. She isn’t nice to them, not at all, but she also doesn’t completely destroy them. It makes the story really interesting, and it can make it hard for me to figure out what is going on. There are times I like nice, predictable books, ones that I can just figure out easy, but not all the time. Give me a good book with some twists and turns and make me not able to figure it out? Yeah, I’m a happy girl. And that’s what happened here. It isn’t the twistiest book I’ve ever read, and it isn’t the darkest of the Blaire’s World books, but the dark and the twists are there. And frankly, I think adding in more of either of those things would have ruined the careful balance that Anna worked here.

attraction-basilica-church-33539

OMG, the Jacob’s Ladder that Oliver has? I’ve heard good things about those, as long as the right kind of jewelry is used. I would think that they could tear a person up, otherwise.

I did find Victor to be a huge hypocrite when it came to dealing with the guy who raped his niece, especially since you know he probably had no problem getting his dick wet in a young girl like that.

OK, that’s all for this one. Go check it out! Happy reading!

Ally Vance-Blaire’s World: Evelina

Blaire’s World is a shared world set of 7 books. They are all based in the world that Anita Gray created with her book Blaire, but they can all be read as a standalone. There may be some mild spoilers to Blaire or Blaire 2, but you don’t have to have read those books in order to read the Blaire’s World books. They don’t have to read in any particular order. However, I highly recommend reading the Blaire books, just because I think that they are great books. Six of the books are coming out on 2/26, but Demetrius will be coming out later in the year, for personal reasons.

Evelina is the book that Ally Vance has decided to share with us.

Evelina has been kept in a cell in a basement under Maksim’s house. With him being all dead and all, Tatiana, his boss, tells Luka to get rid of all information and evidence that may be laying around, which includes whatever girls that happen to be in the basement. Luka gets to all the girls, but then one manages to escape from him, which means that he has to go find her.

Evelina is sneaky and tricksy. She manages to get away from him, at least for a few days, but then, sadly, he catches up to her.

I was really mad and really didn’t like Luka at the beginning. And well, frankly at the end, I’m kind of torn about him too. He’s very dark inside and quite torn. I don’t know that I would go so far as to call him an anti-hero, because I’m pretty sure that he really isn’t, but I don’t think I would go so far as a villain either. I think he’s just a guy who has been twisted by the dark forces and ends up as he is.

Evelina has a lot of inner strength, I think. She’s had to have that so that she could hang on with good old Maksim as long as she did. I have a lot of respect for her. She survived hell and visiting hell’s antechamber, and it changed her. I think it’s a lot like a refiner’s fire. You have to burn everything off to get to the pure metal. I think that this may be the pure Evelina.

16035m1_Lear60Interior-606x369

I don’t think that I like Tatiana at all, not at all. I used to like her, at least a little bit, back in the Blaire books, but not so much anymore. Because, damn, I hate her.

OK, that’s all for this one. You know what to do! Happy reading!

Skye Callahan-Blaire’s World: Serafina

Blaire’s World is a shared world set of 7 books. They are all based in the world that Anita Gray created with her book Blaire, but they can all be read as a standalone. There may be some mild spoilers to Blaire or Blaire 2, but you don’t have to have read those books in order to read the Blaire’s World books. They don’t have to read in any particular order. However, I highly recommend reading the Blaire books, just because I think that they are great books. Six of the books are coming out on 2/26, but Demetrius will be coming out later in the year, for personal reasons.

Serafina is Skye Callahan’s offering to this universe, and I was very impressed with the character.

So, here’s how it works. Sera has been trained by Jorge to be his little spy. His training hasn’t been nice. In fact, I think that Sera and Blaire could commiserate a lot, they have a lot in common. She “failed” in her latest mission. Of course, things that were totally beyond her control happened, but when your boss is a total lunatic like Jorge, then he has his own version of failure, and apparently, her actions counted. Fucker.

Then, Jorge sends her to Canada for a job, but doesn’t tell her what she’s supposed to do. All she knows is that she gets an outfit to wear and is told to be ready to leave in 15 minutes. She hits a party, and everything goes wonky.

This story is all told from Sera’s POV, which is different to the books I’ve read so far, since they have been told from both POVs. I think that it works well for this one because we really need to be in her head. I think adding Galeno’s POV into the book when Sera is already dealing with all the stuff that she is dealing with would have muddled it up. I also think that it might have ruined the flow of the story because I think that we needed to discover Galeno the way that Sera did. It was really organic and natural that way.

I wasn’t always sure of what to make of Galeno, but that’s because Sera didn’t, and that was a really interesting way to meet the MMC of the book.

OK, I had to have the bathtub, because there was a really hot scene in the bathtub, so there you go.

Alright, that’s all I have to say today. Go check it out! Happy reading!

About Eva

A confirmed city-girl, Eva moved to rural Western Massachusetts in 2014. She found herself living in the woods with no job, no friends (unless you count the turkey, deer, and coyote roaming the backyard), and no children underfoot, wondering what on earth she had been thinking. But as it turned out, it was the perfect setting to take all those yarns spinning in her head and weave them into steamy love stories.

A romantic at heart, Eva looks forward to date night all week. The perfect evening includes well-crafted cocktails, a fabulous perfume, Cherry Garcia ice cream, and her husband, of course. If you add good friends, live jazz, and impossible shoes, she will follow you anywhere.

Eva holds a BA from Boston College, and a JD from the Washington College of Law. She spent a career working in domestic violence, child abuse and neglect, and civil rights. Aspects of this work often find their way into her books.

When she’s not writing sexy stories, trying to squeeze information out of her tight-lipped sons, or playing with the two cutest dogs you’ve ever seen, Eva’s creating chapters in her own love story.

Nikita Slater-Blaire’s World: Luna & Andres

Blaire’s World is a shared world set of 7 books. They are all based in the world that Anita Gray created with her book Blaire, but they can all be read as a standalone. There may be some mild spoilers to Blaire or Blaire 2, but you don’t have to have read those books in order to read the Blaire’s World books. They don’t have to read in any particular order. However, I highly recommend reading the Blaire books, just because I think that they are great books. Six of the books are coming out on 2/26, but Demetrius will be coming out later in the year, for personal reasons.

I’m going to be straight up with you, because you know I always am. Luna & Andres made me cry. A lot. I mean, yeah, really a lot. If you have read both the Blaire books, you might already be familiar with these two, but if you haven’t, you aren’t going to be lost.

Luna is the wife of Andres Dacena, one of the leaders of Los Zetas, a huge cartel. They have two children, Cristo and Sola. And she’s running away from Andres and taking her kids with her. She knows that it’s not a good idea, and that she’s going to end up paying for it, dearly, but she has her reasons. And I have to say, they are compelling ones. Not that I’m going to tell you what they are, because I’m mean and horrible like that.

Andres does a lot of not good and not nice things. But when he comes home to find out that his wife and kids are gone, he totally flips out.

Here’s the thing with these two, they are crazy in love. And they are both a little loco. They are both volatile, in different ways, and they are both passionate. And they love each other with the heat of 1000 white hot suns. But… And there’s always a but in there, isn’t there? Being crazy in love doesn’t always mean that everything is going to go well even if you live in a perfect, happy world. Luna and Andres don’t live in a perfect, happy world. They live in the world of a Mexican cartel. Dark and dirty deeds are done dirt cheap, and Andres has to keep many of his actions secret from Luna. That’s not an easy life, and if you are volatile and impulsive, then it’s an even harder life. Being crazy in love and in love with crazy can add in all kinds of drama, which these two have in spades as well.

This is a beautifully devastating book, really it is, and a very worthy addition to Blaire’s World.

Sun and Moon

I totally hated Andres sometimes in this book. Flat out hated and despised him. There were other times when I didn’t. I’m not sure that I loved him until the end, and even then, not entirely.

Ok, that’s all that I have to say on this one. You know what to do. Happy reading!

Kirsty Dallas-Blaire’s World: Beauty

Blaire’s World is a shared world set of 7 books. They are all based in the world that Anita Gray created with her book Blaire, but they can all be read as a standalone. There may be some mild spoilers to Blaire or Blaire 2, but you don’t have to have read those books in order to read the Blaire’s World books. They don’t have to read in any particular order. However, I highly recommend reading the Blaire books, just because I think that they are great books. Six of the books are coming out on 2/26, but Demetrius will be coming out later in the year, for personal reasons.

Beauty is, I think, my first Kirsty Dallas book, but I’m here to tell you, it won’t be my last. If she brings the dark and the emotion to every book like she did this one, she has certainly made a new fan, because damn. I know that I say that a lot of books were intense, but this one was mad intense.

So, Beauty is a young woman who was taken by a man she knows only as Virsininkas, which is apparently Lithuanian for Master. She has spent 3 years in hell with this man, and when I say hell, I truly mean hell. V and his crony Matis aren’t very nice to her at all. The book opens up to a big old sex party that gets busted up by some guys who are dressed in black tac gear with a giant red Z on the front. Beauty tries to escape, but doesn’t quite make it.

Hart was in on that raiding party and he saw a beautiful young woman who was being dragged away. Then, he finds her again when he goes to an evil man’s house to get him for his boss.

Well, since this is a dark romance, I’m sure that I don’t have to tell you that some fucked up things happen in this book. Some are very fucked up, some are poetically fucked up, and some are fucked up beautifully.

Beauty is spectacular in so many ways. She’s so profoundly broken, but I think that she’s also completely and totally whole in a whole different way. It’s a very interesting dichotomy and one that I don’t think everyone would be able to write, so well done to Kirsty for that. She is a very fascinating character that I’m intensely curious about because there is so much to her.

Hart is… I don’t want to say interesting, because I use that a lot, and I don’t think interesting is the right way to describe him anyway. Magnetic maybe, or compelling, or something similar. Whenever he is on the page, he seems larger than life and it makes him a very tangible feeling character.

The two of them together are definitely some kind of event. A hurricane or a tornado or a forest fire. One of those perfect forces of nature that is beautiful to look at, but destructive. Really, that’s the only way I think that I can describe the two of them. But honestly, so truly engrossing.

When I was reading this book, I got a flash of Beauty as kind of a demented and broken Alice in Wonderland. Not your Disney version for sure, and not even the dark video game version, but a really demented version. I think that it kind of fits.

creepy_broken_doll___cosplay___makeup_by_sangasart_dam414p-pre

I can’t wait for part 2. I am so looking forward to it because there are so many things I need to know.

OK, that’s all for this one. Depending on when you are reading this, either pre-order this or go read it. Happy reading!
