What is your favorite book?
This is a terrible question. Why would you even ask me this? Would you also like to know which of my children is my favorite? … forced to choose, I’ll say Outlander. It’s got about everything: love story, time travel, violence, suspense, hot villain, Scottish accents. Kilts. Many kilts. Kilts are good. (Yes, kilts are very, very good-C)
What is your favorite/least favorite trope?
My least favorite is Dumb Girl with Many Problems Meets Hot Billionaire and Thirty Seconds Later Marries Him, Now All Problems Are Solved. I can’t say I’ve got a favorite trope, honestly. I like eclectic stuff, books where I can’t guess what’s coming next, and am extraordinarily bored by anything that seems to be written by any type of formula. Oh, and I detest alpha males. I don’t read them, and I don’t write them, either.
Which authors do you automatically 1-click?
Diana Gabaldon. I’m currently on a Charles de Lint kick. I kind of go through bursts, where I find something I like and then plow through everything that author has ever written.
