Renee Rose & Rebel West-Night of the Zandians

This is the next entry into the Night of… RH series. Today, we get Renee Rose and her giant, purple aliens with giant… horns. Renee invited Rebel West to join her in the writing of Night of the Zandians.

So, the Zandians have had their big battle and have won the day. They now have to start to repopulate and rehab Zandia. The Fins mined the hell out of Zandia so that they could get the crystals. So, King Zander wants all the Zandians and free humans to get together, make babies, and replant Zandia. Since there aren’t all that many human women, Zander has decreed that the men must form groups of 3 or more before they can take a human mate. Then the family groups will be able to get a homestead and start doing what they can to re-green Zandia.

Riya, a human woman who was an agrislave and is now a medic, hears Zander’s orders and is terrified that what he says will mean that it’s now open season on humans. Her former masters raped and tortured her to the point where they may have done permanent physical harm to her fertility. She is terrified of being touched by a male again because of everything that she went through. But, then there’s Tarren…

Tarren is a Zandian warrior. Riya sewed up an injury on him during the fighting. He threatened to spank her because she was pulling guys off the battlefield so that they can get fixed up. While she was sewing him up, he grabbed her ass and she got off on him. Literally.

Tarren has two cousins, Ronan and Jax. They’ve noticed Riya too. When they find out that they need to form a group, they know that Riya is the one that they want. Riya runs and hides in the med bay, but that doesn’t stop these guys from coming to find her. Tarren, Ronan, and Jax know that they want her to be their mate, and they aren’t going to take no for an answer. They manage to convince her and their pierce her with their crystals so that she’s legally their mate. King Zander approves their application and sends them far, far away to their new homestead.

OK, so here we go. I love the Zandians. I mean, giant guys who are purple and hot? Sign me up! Doesn’t hurt that purple is my favorite color. I’ve loved everything about this series. I want it to go on and on. I love the RH thing. I do have to admit that I did wonder how the uber possessive Zandians were going to handle the RH thing, so it’s nice to see how that’s working. I’m so glad that there is a blurb in the end of this to let me know that there is going to be at least one more book. I neeeeeeed there to be more. It’s going to be fun to see how the story changes now that they are on Zandia, the war is over, and that the hard work has to start. There were parts that made me all teary. I started my morning crying over this book. But, I got through it, so it’s all good.

I felt so sorry for Riya. Her secret weighed so heavily on her and she just couldn’t tell anyone, and she tried so hard to prove she was worth being able to stay on the planet. It was so obvious that so many people had told her that she just wasn’t worth it and she wasn’t going to believe it on her own, even if Tarren, Ronan, and Jax told her every minute of the day.

Speaking of those guys, they really fucking pissed me off when they had their little pity party instead of thinking things through. I get they were hurt, but they didn’t even try to figure out why Riya did what she did. Ugh. Men.

OK, that’s all for today. Go check this one and all the other Night of… books out on Zon. Happy reading!
